摘要： A circuit arrangement for the controlled supply of loads, in particular portable devices, for example dry razors and electronic flash devices, or also fluorescent lamps or the like, on virtually any d.c. and a.c. systems of different frequencies and voltages, without switching over. For that purpose, the arrangement uses a blocking converter (5) which is controlled by means of two controllable semiconductor switches (T1, T2) in dependence on the current (I1) flowing through the primary winding (n1) of the converter (5) and in dependence on the input voltage (U1) of the supply, in such a way that the output power supplied follows a desired characteristic curve and in particular is constant. If the load to be supplied is an accumulator (2) with a motor (1) connected in parallel, the circuit arrangement can supply either the full motor power or, when the motor is switched off, a charging current for the accumulator (2). Additional control of the circuit arrangement is possible, in dependence on the load current, so that for example a motor can be adjusted in dependence on loading. When the arrangement supplies a fluorescent lamp, the light flux can be controlled.

摘要： A brake surface is provided for slide coaster sleds in which the brake surface is configured to be an elongated surface of much greater length relative to the width. The braking surface is particularly useful for use on wet slide surfaces because the foremost sections of the brake surface remove the moisture at the brake-slide interface and dry the surface through frictional contact. Therefore, the following brake portions of about two-thirds of the length are available to bring about effective braking action. Preferably, the elongated brakes are formed in a U-shape in cross section with a central groove for containing moisture. Also, it is preferred to have two spaced apart brake surfaces positioned on opposite sides of the longitudinal center line of the sled.

摘要： Common solar radiation receivers are equipped with a chamber for transmission of an operating gas which is directed along to an absorber for solar radiation for thermal absorption. The absorber has a dome-shaped entry window made of quartz glass, wherein the inner side facing the absorber assumes a nominal interior temperature Ti of at least 950° C. during proper use, preferably at least 1000° C., whereas the outer side facing away from the absorber is exposed to the environment and subject to risk of devitrification. The invention relates to modifying the known solar radiation receiver so that a high absorber temperature can be set and thus a high efficiency of the solar thermal heating is enabled, without increasing the risk of devitrification in the region of the outer side of the entry window.

The thermionic diode is comprised of an insulating tube disposed between the ion source assembly enclosure and the output of the high voltage power supply and makes use of existing ion source assembly components to limit damage to the power supply during arc failures of the ion source assembly.

Guided in the first bearing surface is a second bearing surface of hollow cylindrical design, at least in sections. Rolling bodies are arranged between the bearing surfaces. The pivot bearing also has a cage for guiding the rolling bodies, and a slide block to prevent the cage from slipping. A first grove is formed in the first bearing surface and a second grove is formed in the second bearing surface. The groves are inclined transversely with respect to the running direction of the rolling bodies. The opposite inclination of the groves has the result that, if the spacing between the bearing surfaces is neglected, the grooves intersect. The sliding block is guided between the grooves. The cage has a recess that holds the sliding block permitting cage control.

摘要： An apparatus that forms a source bushing, while comprehending the possible formation of electrically conductive films thereon, is disclosed. Such an apparatus may advantageously be used to isolate an ion source from other components within the ion implanter, as these components may be at different electrical potentials. In one embodiment, the source bushing is constructed from a material having a lower electrical resistance than is currently used. By constructing the bushing in this manner, the effects of the applied lower resistance films is reduced, as the change in effective resistance is reduced. In other embodiments, the source bushing is purposely lined with an electrically semiconducting material, so that the effects of the later applied lining are minimized. In either case, the electrical potential between the two devices that are being isolated by the bushing is more evenly applied across the bushing.
