摘要: A method of manufacturing a recorded matter having an ink-receiving layer of a porous structure. The ink-receiving layer has an image region where an image is formed with a coloring material. The method includes the steps of (i) applying an ink to the ink-receiving layer to obtain an image region where an image is formed with a coloring material contained in the ink, (ii) applying a liquid comprising a non-volatile liquid not dissolving the coloring material to the ink-receiving layer, and (iii) forming a portion in which all or substantially all of the coloring material distributed in a thickness direction of the ink-receiving layer is embedded in the non-volatile liquid by rubbing the non-volatile liquid after it is applied. The non-volatile liquid contains an ester of a saturated fatty acid and an alcohol.

摘要: An angular velocity sensor comprises a driving element, a detecting element, and a feedback element, all of which are disposed on an element forming face of an oscillator. An electrostatic capacitance of the feedback element is set to be equal to that of the detecting element. As a result, a synchronous detection circuit can reduce the offset signal due to a phase difference between signals from the feedback element and the detecting element.

摘要: An improved synthetic resin composition is provided that consists essentially of 100 parts by weight of a resin component composed of 50 to 99 (preferably 50 to 90) parts by weight of a melt-processable polyester that does not form an anisotropic melt phase and 1 to 50 (preferably 10 to 50) parts by weight of a liquid crystal polyester that is capable of forming an anisotropic melt phase, to which has been added 0.01 to 0.5 part by weight of a phosphorus compound. The presence of the phosphorus compound has been found to facilitate the fibrillation of the liquid crystal polyester component during molding so as to form fibrils within the resulting molded article having an aspect ratio of 6 or more. The resulting molded article accordingly exhibits significantly enhanced mechanical properties.

摘要: A tape joining apparatus comprises a transport device for transporting a preceding tape via a joining station, a fixed holder disposed on one side of a path of transport of the tape at the joining station for releasably holding the leading end of a subsequent tape with an adhesive applied to the leading end so as to oppose the leading end to the preceding tape, a movable body disposed on the other side of the path and positionable at the joining station as a lower limit of stroke thereof, a movable holder supported by the movable body and movable in a direction orthogonal to the path for holding the rear end of the preceding tape at an upper limit of stroke of the body and releasing the preceding tape at the lower limit, and an assembly for pressing the movable holder against the fixed holder at the joining station. The transport device has a movable guide roller attached to the movable body for the preceding tape to be passed therearound.
