Abstract:
A method and apparatus for retransmitting an MTC group message in a wireless communication system are disclosed. A method for performing retransmission of a Machine Type Communication (MTC) group message by an MTC-InterWorking Function (MTC-IWF) in a mobile communication system includes: receiving an MTC group message response from a network node; and determining whether to perform retransmission of the MTC group message on the basis of information contained in the MTC group message response, wherein the MTC group message response includes zero or more region information of a predetermined unit, related to completion of the MTC group message transmission.
Abstract:
The present specification provides a method for transmitting data of a machine type communication (MTC) device. The method for transmitting data of an MTC device comprises the steps of: receiving a mobility management (MM) latency timer from a mobility management entity within a network; operating the MM latency timer;determining whether data to be transmitted is generated before the expiration of the MM latency timer; and transmitting the data to be transmitted through an uplink NAS message even though the MM latency timer has not expired when the data to be transmitted is generated.
Abstract:
A method for enabling a Machine Type Communication (MTC)-InterWorking Function (IWF) to trigger a MTC group in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a step of transmitting a triggering request to a network node. The network node for receiving the triggering request determines success of the triggering request according to group-triggering-related information comprising information on whether the triggering request is transmitted in MTC group units.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more specifically, to a method and device for handover of a packet switched (PS) service. A method for supporting handover of a PS service in a network according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises steps of: acquiring information for identifying a PS service handed over from a first access network to a second access network; and transmitting, to a user equipment, information for directing handover to the second access network for the identified PS service, wherein the information for the identified PS service can be maintained in a network node of the network until handover to the second access network has been completed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and an apparatus for processing a NAS signaling request. A method for performing a non-access stratum (NAS) signaling process by means of a terminal in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of receiving a first message that includes information indicating a network failure from a network node of a first network; a step of starting a timer relating to a network selection; and a step of selecting a second network from among network candidates excluding the first network during the operation of the timer relating to a network selection.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and in particular, to a method and apparatus for updating an area in a wireless communication system. The method for updating an area by a terminal according to one embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: starting a backoff timer set by a network; and transmitting an area-updating request message to the network when the terminal enters a new tracking area (TA) or a new routing area (RA) while the backoff timer is operating.
Abstract:
A method of managing quality of service (QoS) of an uplink of a terminal includes the steps of: when the terminal supports reflective QoS, transmitting an instruction regarding the reflective QoS to a network node; and receiving from the network node an instruction on whether the reflective QoS is to be applied in response to the instruction regarding the reflective QoS.
Abstract:
A method and a network entity for controlling a service in charge of a control plane in a network are discussed. The method according to an embodiment includes receiving subscription information including an indicator related to a selected internet protocol (IP) traffic offload (SIPTO). The method further includes triggering a re-establishment of the SIPTO when a movement of a user equipment from an (e)Node B to a Home (e)Node B is detected; allowing the SIPTO excluding a SIPTO at the local network based on an access point name (APN) when the indicator indicates that the SIPTO is allowed and the SIPTO at the local network is excluded; and allowing the SIPTO including the SIPTO at the local network based on the APN when the indicator indicates that the SIPTO is allowed and the SIPTO at the local network is included.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more specifically, to a method and an apparatus for controlling wireless access congestion. A method by which a target cell supports a handover in a wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a step for receiving, from a source cell by the target cell, congestion control information for a terminal handed over from the source cell to the target cell; and a step for congestion controlling, by the target cell, the terminal on the basis of the congestion control information. The congestion control information includes whether a drop in service priority for the terminal occurs in the source cell.
Abstract:
A method of controlling a backoff timer at a user equipment (UE) configured for dual priority, the method includes transmitting a non access stratum (NAS) request message without an access point name (APN) including a low priority indicator set to a first value to a network node, wherein the first NAS request message without the APN is an attach request message transmitted along with a packet data network (PDN) connectivity request without the APN; receiving a reject message for the NAS request message from the network node, and wherein a cause in the reject message is set to insufficient resources; setting the low priority indicator to a second value; and initiating a new attach procedure without the APN, while a session management (SM) backoff timer is running, wherein the first value of the low priority indicates that the UE is configured for NAS signaling low priority.
