    摘要: An optical disc recording apparatus for recording information signals on an optical disc having an optical recording medium with a larger than normal thermal time constant, such as an organic dyestuff base material, by irradiating the disc with a recording light modulated by signals produced by eight/fourteen modulation of information signals, is disclosed. The apparatus includes a recording pulse forming unit for forming recording pulses from the eight/fourteen modulated signals, which recording pulses are of pulse widths shorter than the eight/fourteen modulated signals by a pulse width corresponding to the elongation from the regular length of a pit formed on the recording medium on the basis of the eight/fourteen modulated signals, and an optical head supplied with the recording pulses formed by the pulse forming unit for producing the light which has been pulse width modulated by the recording pulses.

And a method for preparing a magnetic recording medium which comprises coating a coating composition for an under magnetic layer on a running non-magnetic support, and successively coating thereon a coating composition for an upper magnetic layer containing abrasive agents, which have a Mohs' hardness of 6 or more and an average particle diameter of 0.5 .mu.m or less, in a dry thickness of less than 0.5 .mu.m while the under magnetic layer is wet.

    摘要: A refrigerating apparatus is conventionally provided with an electric which is fed with an electric current to effect heating and defrosting operations, a defrosting control device including a defrosting timer and an evaporator outlet refrigerant temperature detector for controlling the electric current fed to the electric heater, and an overheating preventing temperature detector for preventing the occurrence of abnormal overheating by the electric heater. The refrigerating apparatus of the present invention can regularly effect defrosting even if any anomaly should arise in the evaporator outlet refrigerant temperature detector. Specifically, the overheating preventing temperature detector is connected to the defrosting control device, and a detection temperature signal from either the evaporator outlet refrigerant temperature detector of the overheating preventing temperature detector is used to commence and terminate defrosting.

    摘要: A known refrigerating system for a container is improved to include container wrong or abnormal condition diagnostic facilities. Such additional facilities include a container inside temperature detector, a container outside temperature detector, a control responsive to a wrong condition diagnosis instruction for operating an evaporator fan and an electric heater of the refrigerating system, and a wrong condition diagnostic device for diagnosing whether or not a wrong condition of the container is present on the basis of the temperatures detected by the respective temperature detectors after a predetermined period of operation of the evaporator fan and the electric heater. If the temperature detected by the container inside temperature detector has risen to a predetermined temperature or higher in relation to the temperature detected by the container outside temperature detector, the wrong condition diagnostic device diagnoses that the container is normal, but if the temperature has not risen to the predetermined temperature, the container is diagnosed to be abnormal.

    摘要: A single two-shaft continuous kneading and mixing machine, which is provided with a pair of shafts having blade members secured thereto, and a barrel accommodating the shafts such that they can be rotated, carries out kneading of a mixture of magnetic grains and a solution, which contains a binder in an organic solvent, in a normal kneading region and thereafter carries out dilution kneading of the mixture, which resulted after kneading in the normal kneading region was carried out, and an organic solvent in a dilution kneading region.
