摘要: A refrigerating apparatus is conventionally provided with an electric which is fed with an electric current to effect heating and defrosting operations, a defrosting control device including a defrosting timer and an evaporator outlet refrigerant temperature detector for controlling the electric current fed to the electric heater, and an overheating preventing temperature detector for preventing the occurrence of abnormal overheating by the electric heater. The refrigerating apparatus of the present invention can regularly effect defrosting even if any anomaly should arise in the evaporator outlet refrigerant temperature detector. Specifically, the overheating preventing temperature detector is connected to the defrosting control device, and a detection temperature signal from either the evaporator outlet refrigerant temperature detector of the overheating preventing temperature detector is used to commence and terminate defrosting.

摘要: A known refrigerating system for a container is improved to include container wrong or abnormal condition diagnostic facilities. Such additional facilities include a container inside temperature detector, a container outside temperature detector, a control responsive to a wrong condition diagnosis instruction for operating an evaporator fan and an electric heater of the refrigerating system, and a wrong condition diagnostic device for diagnosing whether or not a wrong condition of the container is present on the basis of the temperatures detected by the respective temperature detectors after a predetermined period of operation of the evaporator fan and the electric heater. If the temperature detected by the container inside temperature detector has risen to a predetermined temperature or higher in relation to the temperature detected by the container outside temperature detector, the wrong condition diagnostic device diagnoses that the container is normal, but if the temperature has not risen to the predetermined temperature, the container is diagnosed to be abnormal.

摘要: In the self testing refrigerator disclosed, a controller normally controls the operation of various electrical devices, such as a compressor, a blower, and an electric heater by actuating and deactuating separate relays from the power source to each of the devices. During self testing, a switch arrangement disconnects the power source supply and substitutes a high voltage dc generator having a series resistor. The same controller that controls the refrigeration operation of the devices automatically actuates the aforementioned relays separately and successively to apply the high voltage across the terminals of the electric devices and ground. The voltage across the resistor indicates the current flow through, and hence the integrity of, the insulation in each of the devices.

摘要: A control device for a freezer in which a compressor whose operation has been stopped due to low lubricating oil pressure may be automatically restarted. This control device eliminates manual restarting of the compressor repeatedly until it becomes fully operational and facilitates discovery of the true malfunctioning of lubrication mechanisms for bearings in freezer compressors, by prohibiting automatic restarting once the compressor has been operating at normal oil pressure for a preset amount of time.

摘要: A controller which controls a refrigerating unit so that a temperature detected by a controlled temperature detector is equal to a setting temperature, includes a memory for storing the temperature detected by the detector, a card data input-output unit for reading data from a card and writing data in the card, a reading unit of the card data from the input-output unit, and a discriminator for discriminating whether the card is a setting card or a recording card on the basis of the card data read from the reading unit, whereby (a) when the discriminator discriminates that the card is the setting card, the setting temperature is set on the basis of the card data, and (b) when the discriminator discriminates that the card is the recording card, the temperature data stored in the memory is read to be written in the recording card through card data input-output unit, so that administration of data such as the setting temperature and the controlled temperature by a computer is attained and wrong setting of the temperature by the operator can be eliminated.

摘要: A mold is fabricated with a cavity formed in an insulating layer formed so as to be placed on an upper surface of a conductive base material. This mold is disposed in an electrolyte bath to be applied with a voltage, and a metal is electrodeposited on the bottom surface of the cavity to electroform a metal-formed product in the cavity. In this electrodepositing process, when the width of the cavity is taken as W and a vertical height of a head space between an upper opening of the cavity and an upper surface of a metal layer is taken as H, the growth of the metal layer is stopped so that the height H of the head space left above the metal layer satisfies: H≧W/2.85 where 300 μm≦W; H≧W/3.75 where 200 μm≦W

摘要: An economical metallic material for absorption and desorption of hydrogen comprising an alloy having the general formula represented by AB.sub.x, wherein A is Ca or a metallic material which is an alloy including Ca, B is Ni or a metallic material which is an alloy including Ni, and x is in the range of 3.8-6.3, and exhibiting a hydrogen dissociation equilibrium pressure (or plateau pressure, pressure of the plateau region of hydrogen dissociation pressure-hydride composition isotherm) below 1 atm at normal temperatures. The material of the invention very easily absorbs large amounts of hydrogen and efficiently releases it at other predetermined temperatures, pressure and electrochemical conditions, whereby it is able to store hydrogen safely, usefully and economically. It is also suitable for use especially as media for thermal energy storage such as solar energy, waste heat from the electric power generators, and iron foundries, as the alloy of this invention has a plateau pressure below 1 atm at room temperature and of several atmospheres at 35.degree.-100.degree.
