Abstract:
A method of transmitting data packets over a plurality of dynamically allocated resource blocks in at least one or a combination of a time, code or frequency domain on a shared channel of a wireless communication system, comprising the steps of selecting a number of resource block candidates for potential transmission of data packets destined for a receiver and transmitting the data packet to the receiver using at least one allocated resource block from the selected resource block candidates. The invention also relates to a corresponding method of decoding data packets, a transmitter, receiver and communication system.
Abstract:
The invention relates methods for maximum output level reporting by a mobile terminal in a mobile communication system. The invention is also providing apparatus for performing these methods, and computer readable media the instructions of which cause the apparatus to perform the methods described herein. In order to allow for maximum output level reporting, a power management related power backoff value is first calculated for one radio technology by referring to a reception quality level set for communication via the other radio technology; thereafter a lower and upper bounds of a maximum output power level is calculated, then the maximum output power level (PCMAX) for communication is set within the determined lower and upper bounds and finally the set maximum output power level is reported to a base station wherein the lower bound (PCMAX—L) may be calculated using MPR=0 dB, A-MPR=0 dB, and optionally ΔTc=0 dB.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an improved radio resource allocation performed by a vehicular mobile terminal. The vehicular mobile terminal determines whether to determine radio resources based on the location of the vehicular mobile terminal or not, based on information received from an entity of the communication system. In case the radio resources are to be selected based on the location of the vehicular mobile terminal, the vehicular mobile terminal determines the location of the vehicular mobile terminal, and determines radio resources for communication with at least the second mobile terminal, based on the determined location of the vehicular mobile terminal.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an improved handover procedure for a mobile terminal. Under control of the target base station, the mobile terminal is to perform a handoff to a target base station, wherein it is to be configured for communication with the target base station via a target radio cell comprising a downlink carrier and an uplink carrier. The mobile terminal receives a handoff command message for the handoff to the target base station including a handoff execution condition as trigger for executing handoff to the target base station. Then, the mobile terminal determines, based on the received handoff execution condition, whether or not the mobile terminal is to trigger execution of the handoff to the target base station. In case the mobile terminal determines that it is to trigger execution of the handoff to the target base station, the mobile terminal executes the handoff to the target base station.

Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a resource allocation procedure, performed between a user equipment and radio base station. The UE is configured with at least one numerology scheme, each associated with parameters partitioning time-frequency radio resources into resource scheduling units differently. The UE is configured with logical channels each of which is associated with at least one numerology scheme. A receiver of the UE receives from the radio base station an uplink scheduling assignment, which indicates uplink radio resources usable by the UE. A processor of the UE determines for which numerology scheme the received uplink scheduling assignment is intended based on the received uplink scheduling assignment. The processor performs a logical channel prioritization procedure by allocating the assigned uplink radio resources to the configured logical channels and by prioritizing those logical channels that are associated with the numerology scheme for which the uplink scheduling assignment is intended.
Abstract:
Provided are an eNB, a UE and wireless communication methods. The eNB, in an embodiment, includes circuitry operative to fill a SPS activation/deactivation field in a DCI with a predetermined pattern of bits; and a transmitter operative to transmit the DCI to a first UE for the first UE to start periodically transmitting signals to a second UE or stop periodically transmitting signals to the second UE based on the SPS activation/deactivation field. The DCI is in a SPS format formed by adopting part or all bits of at least one field of DCI format 5 as the SPS activation/deactivation field, and information supposed to be transmitted in the at least one field is indicated with the assistance of or by RRC or MAC signaling.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A method allocates radio resources for a transmitting user equipment (UE) to perform direct communication transmissions over a direct sidelink connection to one or more receiving UEs. At least two sidelink grant processes are provided in the transmitting UE for the transmitting UE to handle at least two sidelink grants within the same transmission control period. Each one of the sidelink grant processes is associated with an identification and can be associated with one sidelink grant. The transmitting UE acquires at least two sidelink grants and associates each of the acquired sidelink grants with one sidelink grant process. For each sidelink grant, the transmitting UE allocates radio resources according to the respective sidelink grant to perform a direct communication transmission of sidelink control information and of data over the direct sidelink connection. The transmitting UE performs a direct communication transmission per acquired sidelink grant within the same transmission control period.
