    Abstract: Aspects relate to wireless communications utilizing cross carrier scheduling Methods and apparatus include generating at least one slot in a control channel from a scheduling cell, the at least one slot including a plurality of control channel segments such as PDCCH segments, which are arranged at respective times within the at least one slot. Each of the control channel segments includes control information such as DCIs corresponding to respective slots for a scheduled cell. Distributing the control channel information in segments or spans over time affords improved decoding timing in a UE in the scheduled cell.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may decode a downlink communication on a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The downlink communication may have punctured resources. The UE may transmit, in association with the downlink communication, a first uplink communication on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH), and measure self-interference in the punctured resources of the downlink communication on the PDSCH that are within a threshold distance of resources of the first uplink communication on the PUSCH. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A serving base station or a serving satellite may transmit a timing configuration to the UE based on a reference unit, such as a location at a beam center for a respective satellite, a threshold distance relative to the beam center for the respective satellite, a reference time, or any combination thereof. In some cases, the UE may monitor for one or more SSBs from the neighboring satellites according to the timing configuration and a respective propagation delay between the UE and each of the neighboring satellites. The UE may measure the SSBs according to the measurement gap and measurement window in the timing configuration. In some examples, the UE may perform a cell handover procedure or a cell reselection procedure based on measuring the SSBs.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station by initiating a random access procedure with a two-root preamble. The UE may receive, from the base station, control signaling that indicates a set of root preamble sequences. The UE may transmit, to the base station, a preamble signal that is generated based on a first root preamble sequence and a second root preamble sequence of the set of root preamble sequences. The UE may then monitor for a preamble response based on the preamble signal. In some cases, the base station may be a base station in a terrestrial network. In other cases, the base station may be a satellite in a non-terrestrial network (NTN).

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for allocation of control channel candidates for multiple component carriers (CCs) in carrier aggregation (CA) communications. A CA limit may correspond to a total number of configurable control channel candidates across multiple CCs. The control channel candidates may include blind decoding (BD) candidates or control channel element (CCE) candidates for channel estimation. A per-CC limit of control channel candidates may correspond to a number of configurable control channel candidates for each CC. An applied set of control channel candidates may be determined by allocating control channel candidates across the multiple CCs based on the CA limit and the per-CC limit. Such techniques may be used in cases where the CCs have a same numerology or mixed numerology, and may also be used for cross-carrier scheduling.
