    Abstract: A system and method for low latency acknowledgements includes a first communication unit receiving a data message from a second communication unit on a data channel, decoding the data message, and transmitting, in response to the decoding, an acknowledgement signal on a control channel to the second communication unit. The acknowledgement signal has a partially decodable structure. Transmitting the acknowledgement signal further includes transmitting multiple repetitions of a same time domain waveform during one symbol period. In some embodiments, transmitting the acknowledgement signal further transmitting K repetitions of a same time domain waveform with a frequency domain characteristic consisting of one non-zero tone for every K tones, K being a positive integer. In some embodiments, the acknowledgement signal is processable by the second communication unit using a first N out of the K repetitions, N being a positive integer less than K.

    Abstract: Techniques are described to address run-time issues and other considerations of data structure reorganization operations executed while decoding a polar code. A receiving entity (e.g., a user equipment or a base station) partitions an array, or other data structure, into sections. The array is used during a list decoding operation of a polar code. As the array is populated with path elements for candidate paths, each section is organized and a permutation pattern is calculated for each section. Upon identifying a section reorganization event, the array or subsections of the array are reorganized according the permutation patterns determined for each section.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure provide for methods, apparatus, and computer software for enabling a single media access control (MAC) layer to control a variety of physical (PHY) layers or entities for multiplexing signals corresponding to each of the PHY layers over an air interface. Here, the MAC layer may include a resource manager configured to determine a time-frequency resource allocation within the air interface for communication with one or more subordinate entities utilizing each of the PHY layers. In this way, The MAC entity may provide dynamic control over the allocation of time-frequency resources within a given resource group, which may include transmission time intervals (TTIs) having multiple time scales.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. The method, systems, and devices may include receiving a plurality of sets of input bits associated with respective transmission symbol periods at an encoder of a transmitting device, the plurality of sets of input bits associated with a single input vector to be encoded into a single codeword. The encoder may process the plurality of sets of input bits to generate a plurality of sets of output bits associated with respective transmission symbol periods, and output a first of the plurality of sets of output bits associated with a first of the plurality of sets of input bits prior receiving a second of the plurality of sets of input bits, the second of the plurality of sets of input bits being received at the encoder subsequent to the first of the plurality of sets of input bits.

    Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods associated with interference aware sounding reference signals are provided. A method for wireless communication includes receiving, at a wireless communication device in communication with a first base station, an interfering signal from a second base station (or other base stations); determining, at the wireless communication device, a spatial direction of the interfering signal; and transmitting, with the wireless communication device, a signal to the first base station based on the spatial direction of the interfering signal. Another method of wireless communication includes receiving, at a first base station, a signal from a wireless communication device, the signal based on a spatial direction of an interfering signal received by the wireless communication device from a second base station (or other base stations); transmitting, with the first base station, a downlink communication to the wireless communication device, the downlink communication beamformed in the spatial direction based on the signal received from the wireless communication device.
