Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to performing a handover on a per-data radio bearer (DRB) basis. In some examples, the disclosure is directed to indicating, to a source network entity, a make-before-break (MBB) handover capability of the UE, the MBB handover capability supporting MBB handovers for one or more DRBs identified by the source network entity. In some examples, the disclosure describes receiving, from the source network entity, configuration information for a handover from the source network entity to a target network entity, the configuration information identifying the one or more DRBs supported for the MBB handover.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a prioritization rule that indicates a relative priority for different uplink communications included in a group of uplink communications, wherein the group of uplink communications includes at least a first uplink communication and a second uplink communication to be transmitted by the UE using time-division multiplexing during a make-before-break handover procedure. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the prioritization rule, the first uplink communication to a target base station and the second uplink communication to a source base station using time-division multiplexing during the make-before-break handover procedure. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    UNIFIED ACCESS CONTROL PARAMETER UPDATE

Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses described herein provide for an indication that a unified access control (UAC) parameter of a user equipment (UE) has changed. For example, a paging message or direct indication information may be provided to a UE indicating that a UAC parameter has changed. In such a case, the UE may not be expected to periodically check a scheduling information list of a system information block type 1 (SIB1). Thus, battery power of UEs may be conserved and signaling resources that would otherwise be used to periodically check the scheduling information list may be conserved.

RADIO LINK CONTROL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT MODE TIMING FOR MULTI MODAL TRAFFIC

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network may configure one or more devices with a timer. The timer may define a threshold amount of time a receiver in a radio link control (RLC) acknowledgement mode (AM) is to wait for and continue to request retransmission of a missing RLC packet data unit (PDU) through automatic repeat request (ARQ) mechanisms. The receiver may detect a missing PDU, and may initiate two timers: a first timer defining how long the receiver is to request and monitor for the missing first PDU, and a second timer defining an amount of time before requesting retransmission of the first PDU. Upon expiration of the second timer, the receiver may transmit a request for retransmission of the first PDU. Upon expiration of the first timer, the receiver may forward all other sequentially received PDUs to higher layers for decoding.

NEW RADIO SYNCHRONIZATION SIGNAL BLOCK RELATED IDLE MEASUREMENT CONFIGURATION

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive synchronization signal block (SSB) related measurement configurations exclusively in a system information block (SIB). The UE may receive SSB frequency lists for idle measurements in both a SIB or a radio resource control (RRC) message, such as an RRC release message. In some examples, the UE may receive SSB related measurement configurations or SSB frequency lists for idle measurements in a SIB and an RRC message. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may receive SSB frequency lists in a SIB and an RRC message, while SSB measurement configurations for SSB frequencies out of a sync raster may exclusively be indicated in the RRC message. The UE may therefore experience improved coverage and reliability and, in some examples, may promote low latency for wireless communications relating to multiple radio access technologies, among other benefits.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a distributed unit (DU) of a network node may receive, from one or more of a user equipment (UE), a central unit (CU) of the network node, or another network node, assistance information, wherein the assistance information indicates one or more of: robust header compression (ROHC) feedback information, uplink data related information, packet reordering timer information, congestion related information, session control information, or radio resource control (RRC) message information. The DU may perform an action associated with the UE based at least in part on the assistance information. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive configuration information that configures a paging early indication (PEI) communication, the PEI communication including at least one of a public warning system field, a primary system information (SI) change indication field, a secondary SI change indication field, or a paging physical downlink shared channel indication field. The UE may receive the PEI communication based at least in part on the configuration information. Numerous other aspects are described.

RADIO ACCESS NETWORK SHARING USING A TRANSPORT PROXY FUNCTION

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. An access and mobility management function (AMF) proxy may establish a first communication link between a radio access network (RAN) of a first network operator and a first AMF of the first network operator via the AMF proxy and a second communication link between the RAN of the first network operator and a second AMF of a second network operator via the AMF proxy. The AMF proxy may receive a message from the RAN via the first communication link or the second communication link directed towards a target proxy endpoint address of the first AMF or of the second AMF. As such, the AMF proxy may transmit the message from the RAN to the first or to the second AMF based on a mapping between a set of target proxy endpoint addresses, and one or more source proxy endpoint addresses.
