Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may configure a system frame number (SFN) and hyper-SFN associated with a long term sensing pattern. The base station may then transmit the SFN and hyper-SFN to indicate a sensing period corresponding to the long term sensing pattern. A UE may receive a SFN and hyper-SFN associated with a long term sensing pattern. The UE may determine, based on the SFN and hyper-SFN, a sensing period corresponding to the long term sensing pattern. The UE may then suspend a plurality of procedures during the sensing period.

Abstract: Some techniques described herein assist a user equipment with acquiring and/or reacquiring, from a base station, a dynamic list of channels to be used for frequency hopping when communicating over an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band, thereby increasing communication reliability and promoting coexistence in the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. Some techniques described herein also assist the user equipment in obtaining the list of channels with low latency (e.g., shortly after the list has changed) and with low power consumption. Numerous other aspects are provided.

In an aspect, a method includes detecting that a medium in a shared spectrum is busy, and delaying a transmission of a synchronization signal (SS) block in the shared spectrum in response to detecting that the medium is busy. The method further includes detecting that the previously busy medium is free, and transmitting, in response to detecting that the medium is free, a filler signal before transmitting the SS block in the shared spectrum, and the SS block includes one or more discovery reference signals (DRSs).

The UE receives a grant for uplink communication. The UE determines a reporting subframe based on the grant. The UE determines whether to select, as a reference subframe, a triggering subframe in which the grant is received or a subframe before the reporting subframe. The UE transmits, in the reporting subframe, channel state information (CSI) measured in the reference subframe.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for wireless communication in the unlicensed spectrum between an eNB and UEs having different bandwidths, e.g., between a narrowband UE and a wideband eNB. A base station apparatus may perform a dual CCA procedure for a frame, wherein the dual CCA procedure comprises a first type of CCA procedure followed by a second type of CCA procedure when the first type of CCA procedure is unsuccessful. The apparatus may transmit during the frame when at least one CCA procedure of the dual CCA procedure is successful and may refrain from transmitting during the frame when both CCA procedures of the dual CCA procedure are unsuccessful. In performing the dual CCA procedure, the apparatus may perform CCA for a first period of time then perform eCCA for a second period of time following the CCA, when the CCA is unsuccessful.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for wireless communication in the unlicensed spectrum between an eNB and UEs having different bandwidths, e.g., between a narrowband UE and a wideband eNB. A base station apparatus performs an LBT procedure at a beginning of frames and transmits a plurality of repetitions of a transmission. When the plurality of repetitions span multiple frames and the LBT procedure is not successful for a first frame, the base station drops or postpones at least one repetition in the first frame until a second frame when the LBT procedure is successful. A UE receives the plurality of repetitions and may combine a plurality of repetitions across multiple frames. The UE may determine whether the base station drops the at least one repetition in the first frame or postpones the at least one repetition in the first frame until a second frame.

The UE performs communication using one or more of the plurality of downlink carriers and the plurality of uplink carriers.

The wireless device may perform cyclic autocorrelation on the interfering signal to determine one or both of a cyclic prefix length and a symbol period. The wireless device may determine a radio access technology of the interfering signal based on one or both of the cyclic prefix length and the symbol period. In an aspect, the wireless device may further transmit an interference report including information regarding the interfering signal including the cyclic prefix length, symbol period, identified radio access technology, or packet length.
