Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine an energy per resource element (EPRE) value for a slot based at least in part on whether the slot is associated with a half-duplex configuration or a full-duplex configuration, wherein the EPRE value is a first value when the slot is associated with the half-duplex configuration and a second value when the slot is associated with the full-duplex configuration; and perform a communication in the slot in accordance with the EPRE value. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive system information for a first cell on a second cell, wherein the UE is camped on the second cell, and wherein the system information for the first cell is received with system information for the second cell; access an uplink of the first cell using the system information for the first cell; and establish a connection on the first cell as a serving cell. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
Various aspects and features provide waveform design and signaling support that provide and facilitate high accuracy positioning determination by low powered devices (e.g. UEs) in NR and IoT by allowing UEs to request on demand positioning operation support from a base station and the base station to dynamically configure parameters associated with a positioning reference signal (PRS) for transmission to the UEs. A UE may transmit an indication of its positioning requirement and/or capability information to a base station. The base station may configure parameters associated with a positioning reference signal (PRS), for example, a waveform type of the PRS, based on the indication and transmit the PRS to the UE. The UE may receive the PRS having the configured parameters and may perform at least one of UE positioning, ranging, or a UE velocity determination based on the received PRS.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure describe determining an uplink channel raster for determining frequency location of an uplink channel over which to transmit uplink communications to a base station. Uplink communications can be transmitted to the base station over the uplink channel. The uplink channel raster can be shifted, in frequency, with respect to a legacy uplink channel raster of a legacy communication technology to facilitate coexistence, in an uplink carrier, of the uplink channel and one or more uplink channels of the legacy communication technology.
Abstract:
Aspects of using a small cell deployed in a vehicle are provided. For example, identifying the location of a wireless device includes enabling communication with a positioning server (e.g., enhanced serving mobile location center (E-SMLC)) in a home network using a positioning protocol, wherein the communication is enabled using a wireless backhaul connection to a serving network, receiving a location request from the positioning server for the location of the wireless device connected to the small cell and associated with an emergency call, determining location information for the wireless device, and providing, to the positioning server through the communication, the location information. The wireless backhaul connection to the serving network may be based on a wireless local area network (WLAN) connection.
Abstract:
The disclosure describes methods and apparatuses for handover-related measurements and events for power adaptation. The disclosure provides for management of an eNodeB for improving reliability of incoming handovers to a cell provided by the eNodeB. At least one handover failure event for an incoming handover to a cell provided by the target eNodeB is detected. The eNodeB or central entity determines that the cell is providing an undesired coverage area based on the at least one handover failure event. In response to determining that the cell is providing an undesired coverage area, the transmit power for the cell may be adjusted to alter the undesired coverage area. A performance measurement based on the at least one handover failure event may be used to evaluate the undesired coverage area. The incoming handover failure events may include incoming too-early handovers, incoming too-late handovers, incoming wrong cell handovers, and incomplete incoming handovers.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided in connection with determining whether to offload a device from a femto node. In one example, a serving femto node is equipped to obtain load information regarding a target node, compare an expected throughput at the target node, estimated based in part on the load information, to a threshold, and determine whether to handover a device to the target node based in part on the comparing. In an aspect, the serving node is further equipped to compute its own throughput based on parameters specific to the serving femto node or the device, and the threshold is the throughput at the serving femto node.
