Abstract: Provided herein are methods, systems, and software for automatic generation of reports associated with an industrial automation environment. In one implementation, a method includes accessing a source of data containing information related to operation of an industrial automation system. An industrial controller controls the operation. The method also includes identifying user defined types (UDTs) containing a data property in the source of data; creating asset model tags that point to the UDTs in the industrial controller; creating asset definitions by grouping all asset model tags of a particular UDT; instantiating a separate model for each asset in the industrial automation system based on the corresponding asset definition; and generating a report to display values of the asset model tags of the instantiated models.

Abstract: A system includes a solid-state circuit breaker coupling between a power supply and an electrical load. The system also includes a gateway interface device communicatively coupled to the solid-state circuit breaker and includes a plurality of communication interfaces. In an embodiment, the gateway interface device includes a controller configured to perform operations including determining a connection status of at least one communication interface of the plurality of communication interfaces and determining a number of devices connected to the at least one communication interface, receive a signal from at least one device of the number of devices. In the embodiment, the operations may also include in response to receiving the signal, instructing the solid-state circuit breaker to disconnect the electrical load from the power supply.

Abstract: Provided herein are systems, methods, and software for facilitating message sessions. In one implementation, a method for building a type-based reporting model associated with an industrial automation environment includes interrogating a system control to acquire a data structure programmed therein, the data structure comprising properties of a component of the industrial automation environment. The method also includes correlating the data structure to a type package object, and generating a model object based on the correlation of the data structure to the type package object, the model configured to visually display the properties of the component on a report.

Abstract: Techniques to facilitate adaptive optimization and control of flotation cell processing are disclosed herein. In at least one implementation, a computing system receives a plurality of flotation cell process variables associated with a flotation cell process. The flotation cell process variables are fed into a machine learning model associated with the flotation cell process to determine improved settings for the flotation cell process. The improved settings for the flotation cell process are provided to an industrial controller that controls at least one aspect of the flotation cell process to improve the flotation cell process.

Abstract: Techniques to facilitate synchronization of industrial assets in an industrial automation environment are disclosed herein. In at least one implementation, a computing system receives time-series industrial process data associated with a plurality of process subsystems of an industrial automation process. The time-series industrial process data is fed into a machine learning model associated with the industrial automation process to dynamically generate a process duration prediction for a first one of the process subsystems and responsively determine an updated set point for a second one of the process subsystems based on the process duration prediction for the first one of the process subsystems. The updated set point for the second one of the process subsystems is provided to an industrial controller associated with the second one of the process subsystems.

Abstract: Provided herein are systems, methods, and software for preserving timestamp data in an industrial automation environment. In one implementation, one or more computer-readable storage media having program instructions stored thereon to preserve timestamp data in an industrial automation environment, wherein the program instructions, when executed by a computing system, direct the computing system to at least receive, at a controller, event data of an event from an electronic device, wherein the event data comprises a status of the event and the timestamp of the event. The program instructions also direct the computing system to determine an identification value based on the event data and load the status of the event, the timestamp of the event, and the identification value to a queue within the controller. The timestamp of the event includes the timestamp transmitted from the electronic device.

Abstract: In a container orchestration environment implemented in an industrial automation environment, a new industrial automation component (e.g., device or software) attaches to an industrial automation network, and a pod of the container orchestration environment detects the attachment. In response, the pod creates a new pod representing the new industrial automation component by determining a type of the new industrial automation component, identifying functionality specific to the industrial automation component based on the type, provisioning software to implement the functionality, and generating a pod with containers for the software. The pod couples interfaces in the software to interfaces of the new industrial automation component and exposes the pod in the container orchestration environment, allowing the industrial automation component to participate in the container orchestration system.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein may involve monitoring an asset based on multiple device models representing the asset as operated in different process states. The systems and methods may involve receiving acquired data corresponding to a current operation of the asset and identifying a device model of the multiple device models based on the acquired data. The device model may correspond to a process state of the different process states, an operational parameter that the asset is operated in, and a training status indication.
