Abstract: A communication technique for fusing 5G communication, which supports a higher data transmission rate than a 4G system, with an IoT technology is provided, and may be applied to an intelligent service based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT related technology. Accordingly, a method for transmitting information by a base station in a wireless communication system, includes generating information on a channel sensing operation of a user equipment (UE) in an unlicensed band, wherein the information on the channel sensing operation indicates one of a first type performing the channel sensing operation using a variable time period, a second type performing the channel sensing operation using a fixed time period, and a third type not performing the channel sensing operation; and transmitting, to the UE, the information on the channel sensing operation.

The present invention may comprise: transmitting downlink data to a terminal from a base station; receiving positive reception acknowledgement (ACK) or negative reception acknowledgement (NACK) information on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) according to the results of receiving the downlink data; determining whether an uplink resource where the ACK or NACK information is received is included in a first resource or a second resource; and interpreting, in particular by the base station, the ACK or NACK information as ACK if the uplink resource where the ACK or NACK information is received is included in the first resource.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided in a wireless communication system. Mini slot length information indicating mini slot length in a number of symbols is received from a base station via higher layer signaling. Downlink control information (DCI) including a number of mini slots for a hybrid automatic repeat and request (HARQ) feedback transmission is received from the base station. A mini slot for the HARQ feedback transmission is identified based on the mini slot length information and the number of mini slots for the HARQ feedback transmission. The HARQ feedback information is transmitted to the base station on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) based on the identified mini slot.
