The memory may store instructions that cause, when executed, the processor to receive the detected external sound from the one or more microphones, to identify an direction of the external sound in relation to the user, to determine whether the direction of the external sound is within a predefined range, and to extract at least a portion of the external sound for further processing when the direction of the external sound is within the predefined range.
