摘要： An audio mixer on a first device receives one or more incoming audio streams. Each of the one or more incoming audio streams has an associated timestamp. The audio mixer generates a mixed audio stream from the one or more incoming audio streams. The audio mixer determines differences in the time base of each of the one or more incoming audio streams and the time base for the mixed audio stream. The audio mixer generates mapping parameters associated with the determined differences and transforms the timestamp of each of the one or more incoming audio streams to a corresponding output timestamp associated with the mixed audio stream according to the mapping parameters. the mapping parameters are provided to a video mixer for similar processing and transformation such that the mixed audio stream is in synchronization with a mixed video stream.

Audio information associated with the active speaker may be received at one or more media switches. One or more video streams may be suppressed except for a selected video stream associated with the active speaker, the selected video stream propagating to one or more of the media switches during the video conference. The selected video stream may be replicated such that it may be communicated to one or more of the end points associated with a selected one of the media switches.

摘要： A method and apparatus for conducting a transfer of a conference call are disclosed. A media gateway receives a message to transfer a conference call from a first call resource to a second call resource. If the message indicates a change in the number of clients participating in the conference call, the media gateway simultaneously transfers the conference call and plays a prompt to the clients indicating the change. If the message does not indicate the change, the media gateway transfers the conference call in response to detecting a period of silence.

摘要： The present invention provides a method for maintaining a communication session between telephony devices, which includes establishing a first TCP/IP signaling communication link between a first telephony device and a proxy. The first TCP/IP signaling communication link is operable to communicate first keep alive signals between the proxy and the first telephony device. A second TCP/IP signaling communication link is established between a primary gatekeeper and the proxy. The second TCP/IP signaling communication link is operable to communicate second keep alive signals between the proxy and the primary gatekeeper. The first and second TCP/IP signaling communication links are terminated at the proxy. Therefore, a communication session between the first telephony device and a second telephony device may be maintained even if the second keep alive signals are interrupted.
