    摘要: An optical recording method for an optical disk having a disk surface portion in which prepits, indicative of preformat information, are formed. In the optical recording method, a portion of a data signal which matches one of the prepits and corresponds to a write mark radially adjacent to one of the prepits is detected. Marks are recorded along a track of the disk by selectively using one of an optimal recording power and a proper recording power level, in accordance with the non-match portion or the match portion of the data signal. A radial width of the marks recorded in accordance with the match portion of the data signal is smaller than a radial width of the marks recorded in accordance with the non-match portion of the data signal. An optical reproducing method is adapted to accurately detect a wobble signal and a prepit signal from the optical disk to which data is recorded by the above optical recording method. Further, a wobble/prepit detection method for optical recording and reproduction is adapted to accurately detect the wobble signal and the prepit signal from the optical disk.

    摘要: A capacity-controlled scroll compressor having a simple, compact and high-reliability control mechanism, including two pairs of bypass holes (50a, 50b, 51a and 51b) each communicating with each of a pair of fluid pockets in the same compression process, a bypass hole (52a) communicating with one fluid pocket formed from the pair of fluid pockets aligned as the compression process further proceeds, and a shuttle valve (60) for sequentially opening and closing the bypass holes by reciprocating motion, and fitted into a cylinder (61) disposed inside a fixed end plate (1a). The shuttle valve (60) has a stepped cylindrical structure having different outer diameters so as to improve the strength and rigidity of the shuttle valve itself. The smooth operation of the shuttle valve (60) can be ensured even at high temperatures and high pressures.

    摘要: In a control method of an optical disk unit, it is judged by performing a tentative tracking operation of an optical pickup in a constant region of an optical disk whether a tracking position of the optical pickup is located in a land or groove portion. After a correct tracking control condition is judged, an access operation according to command information is executed. The optical disk unit has a two-divisional light receiving element for receiving diffracted light caused by a pregroove and a prepit of the optical disk, and a differentiator for generating a difference signal between signals of this light receiving element. The optical disk unit further has an adder for generating a sum signal of the signals of the light receiving element, and a tracking signal selector for selecting the difference or sum signal when the tracking operation is performed in a pregroove or prepit region, respectively. An optical information recording medium and a method for recording and regenerating information by using this optical information recording medium are also shown.

    摘要: A scroll compressor includes an orbital drive mechanism for causing orbiting of an orbiting scroll relative to a stationary scroll. The orbiting scroll is formed with a generally cylindrical boss extending in a direction away from the stationary scroll. The orbital drive mechanism includes a main shaft rotatably supported by a compressor housing, an eccentric shaft extending from one end face of the main shaft and having a longitudinal axis parallel to, but offset laterally from a longitudinal axis of the main shaft, and an eccentric bush having a socket inserted rotatably into the cylindrical boss. The eccentric shaft, engaged in the socket, is of a non-circular cross-section having short and long axes perpendicular to each other. The eccentric shaft has rounded opposite apexes lying on the long axis thereof to define first and second rounded side faces, while the socket has a first inner wall portion of a smaller curvature confronting the first rounded side face of the eccentric shaft and a second inner wall portion of a greater curvature confronting the second rounded side face of the eccentric shaft. The eccentric shaft is spaced a predetermined distance from inner wall portions of the socket in the direction in which the short axis of the eccentric shaft extends so that the eccentric bush can swing relative to the eccentric shaft about a center of curvature of the first rounded side face of the eccentric shaft, thus varying the orbiting radius.
