The electrical connection portion is provided with a reference member as a reference of at least one of an upper limit position and a lower limit position of the height of the surface of the sealing material with respect to the thickness direction of the recording element substrate.

An interval between the through-holes increases according to a direction from the first surface to the second surface. A volume of the heat transfer path increases according to the increase of the interval.
