摘要： A rotary railway drawbar coupler is provided which comprises two elongated shank members each having a convex butt surface at one end and a generally circular butt surface at the other end. The two elongated shanks are positioned between the two railway cars being coupled such that the circular butt ends are adjacent each other. A connecting collar surrounds the circular flange of which the circular butt surface is a part. Each elongated shank may have a longitudinal cavity extending inwardly from the circular butt surface to accommodate a cylindrical bar that extends between the elongated shanks.

摘要： The present invention provides a railway truck bolster with an improved brake attachment assembly. The top web section of the bolster has outer walls extending downwardly therefrom, which outer walls terminate in the lower section of the bolster. A centerplate is located on the top section of the bolster intermediate the ends thereof. Two bolt receiving openings are located to one side of the centerplate in one of the bolster walls. The bolt receiving openings are laterally spaced from each other and are located just below the top section of the bolster. A flange extends upwardly from the wall of the bolster and is located generally laterally between the two bolt receiving openings in the wall. The flange extends upwardly above the top section of the bolster and includes a bolt receiving opening. A recess extends longitudinally from the flange across at least a portion of the top section of the bolster. Furthermore, the underside of the top section of the bolster is reinforced below the recess.

A parts supply and feeding device is mounted on a main frame adjacent a parts turnaround device also mounted on the main frame. A swing arm assembly is rotatably mounted to the frame and includes two arm chucks at the end of the swing arm opposite the rotatably mounted end. The swing arm chucks are themselves capable of rotation so as to load and unload parts from the parts feeding device and the parts turnaround device as well as to deliver parts to the machining station.

摘要： The present invention provides a method and apparatus for determining the temperature of an object as it moves through a heat treating furnace. The furnace includes a hearth adapted to move through it thusly enabling a number of objects placed on the hearth to be heat treated as they move through the furnace. To obtain the temperature of an object being heat treated as it moves through the furnace, a hole is provided in the hearth. A thermocouple wire is inserted through the hole and into the furnace. An end of the wire is connected to an object being heat treated, and the object is placed in the furnace. The other end of the wire is connected to a temperature display device outside of the furnace which moves along with the hearth and the object as they move through the furnace.

摘要： A convertible semi-trailer for highway and railroad modes of travel includes a coupler device to releasably couple adjacent vehicles end-to-end to form a train for the railroad mode. The coupler includes a male member extending from the end of one of the vehicles and the housing attached to the opposed end of the adjacent vehicles and having an opening therethrough for receiving the male member of the one vehicle. The male member is releasably locked in the housing opening for railroad mode of operation. A resilient pad is positioned in the opening of the housing and has the male member resting thereon to accommodate limited rolling, pitching and relative vertical displacement between the coupled vehicles.
