摘要: An ECG system is used in ECG signal measurement of intra-cardiac ECG using a catheter. The system includes a lead signal switch for disconnecting an amplifier input terminal from a reference point and reconnecting the input terminal to a patient limb electrode. An ECG signal processor amplifies the difference of a chest lead signal electronically connected to a catheter, and a patient limb signal provided by the reconnecting of the input terminal.

摘要: An apparatus and method for performing warming therapy is described. In one exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes a base (12) for supporting a medical patient and a humidifier module (26) removably coupled to the base (12). The humidifier module (26) may include a main reservoir (50) and an evaporator reservoir (52) separated by a channel (70). Both the main and evaporator reservoirs (50, 52) may be protected by a cover (58), which may be made removable. The design of the humidifier module (26) is such that the component parts thereof may be easily removed, so that the reservoir body (48) including the main reservoir (50) and the evaporator reservoir (52) may be easily cleaned, such as through use of an autoclave.

摘要: A cooling system cools an electrically rechargeable portable device accommodated in a docking station. The cooling system includes a docking station having a non-forced air active cooling unit and a housing. The cooling unit maintains a first heatsink surface at a temperature below an ambient temperature and a second heatsink surface at a temperature exceeding said first heatsink surface temperature. The housing accommodates an electrically re-chargeable portable device. The housing re-charges said portable device and seats said portable device in a position providing thermal contact between said docking station first heatsink surface and a heat spreader of said portable device while re-charging of said portable device.

摘要: A cable detection system, includes a source of an input electrical AC signal for coupling to a first lead pin of a cable connector. A detector is coupled to a different second lead pin of the cable connector. The detector detects an electrical AC output signal derived by capacitive coupling of the input electrical AC signal occurring within a cable incorporating first and second leads corresponding to the first and second lead pins. The detector further enables a determination of whether the cable is connected to the cable connector in response to an amplitude dependent characteristic of the detected AC output signal.

摘要: A communication system is used by a portable patient monitoring device for connecting to other devices, including a docking station, via one or more networks. The communications system includes an adaptive communication interface which, when the patient monitoring device is docked, establishes communication with a first network, and receives from a first docking station a first unique identifier that identifies the first docking station, allowing the patient monitoring device to communicate patient parameters to the first destination. While the portable patient monitoring device is undocked, the adaptive communication interface is inhibited from establishing communication with a network providing an identifier to the portable patient monitor that does not match the first unique identifier. Upon docking to a second docking station, the patient monitoring device establishes communication with a second network using a new unique identifier received from the second docking station via a second exclusive communication link.

摘要: A system extrapolates and interpolates patient fluid intake or output parameter values and associated cumulative values over variable time intervals from a reduced set of stored fluid parameter values affecting fluid cumulative volume computation or rate of fluid intake or output computation. The extrapolation and interpolation function accomodates drip (continuing) fluid volumes as well as supplemental (non-continuing e.g., bolus) fluid volumes. A patient medical parameter data processing system provides patient medical parameter data for trend indicative display covering a time period comprising user selectable patient parameter acquisition time intervals. The system includes an acquisition processor for receiving data identifying, for a continuing infusion, rate of volume of fluid infusion into a patient, a fluid type identifier and a start time and start date of said continuing infusion. The received data also identifies for a non-continuing infusion, a total volume of fluid infusion, a fluid type identifier and a time and date of the non-continuing infusion. A data processor determines, from the received data, a cumulative total volume infusion of a particular fluid into a particular patient for a particular user selectable patient parameter acquisition time interval.
