    摘要: A spindle head having a spindle is moved along a Y-axis relative to the fixed bed of a printed-circuit board drilling machine, a work table is moved along an X-axis perpendicular to the Y-axis, and a tool magazine is moved along a .beta.-axis parallel to the Y-axis relative to the work table to bring the respective axes of the spindle and desired one of a plurality of tool posts arranged in rows and columns in the tool magazine into alignment with the axis of a pressing member included in a tool pressing mechanism fixedly held on the fixed bed under a tool changing position. The tool pressing mechanism is actuated to transfer a tool from the tool post to a chuck attached to the spindle or from the chuck to the tool post. The work table is lightweight and hence can be rapidly moved. The tool changing mechanism needs only simple control for a tool changing operation.

    摘要: According to the rodless power cylinder of the present invention, a pressure relieving passage which opens to the space between the inner seal band and the outer seal band at one end, and to the outside of the cylinder barrel at the other end is provided in the end cap of the cylinder barrel. Further, a cap cover is provided on the end cap. The cap cover includes a valve element portion which resiliently fits into the end of the relieving passage opening to the outside. When the pressure in the space between the seal bands increases to a predetermined level due to leak of the inner seal band, the valve element opens outward due to the pressure in the relieving passage to allow the fluid in the space to escape to the outside. Thus, the pressure in the space between the seal bands are kept at a low level even if a leak in the inner seal band occurs and, thereby, a blow off of the outer seal band and damage to the rodless power cylinder is prevented.

Each of the antistatic synthetic resin materials forming the rotating tubular body, the brake ring and the dust cover is a mixture of a synthetic resin, and fibers, powder or flakes of a conductive material, such as carbon and has a low volume resistivity.

    摘要: The linear actuating device of the present invention has a rodless power cylinder unit with a cylinder barrel. An external carriage is disposed on the cylinder barrel and is movable along the axis of the cylinder barrel. A base on which a guide rail is mounted is provided. A slide table is driven by the external carriage of the rodless power cylinder unit and guided by the guide rail. According to the present invention, the external carriage is disposed on the side of the cylinder barrel facing the guide rail. This construction allows the external carriage and the slide table to be accommodated within the height of the cylinder barrel. Therefore, the height of the linear actuating device as a whole can be reduced to substantially the same as the height of the cylinder barrel.

    摘要: A finger chuck for use with a machine tool comprises a chuck main body having a front wall and a rear wall, the front wall and the rear wall defining a space therebetween. A centering device is supported by the front wall for centering the workpiece on the axis of the chuck main body. Jaws are supported by the front wall for holding the workpiece. A rearwardly protruding portion is provided on the front wall toward the rear wall within the space, and a cavity is defined in the protruding portion so as to open in the front surface of the front wall, the cavity accommodating at least part of the centering device. A drawing member extends through the rear wall in the axial direction, and is shifted by a drive source in the axial direction. A guide portion is disposed in the space integrally with the drawing member, so as to be guided on the protruding portion in the axial direction. A seat surface is formed around the guide portion, and a spider is supported on the seat surface for movement therealong. Axial movement of the drawing member causes opening and closing movements of the jaws through the spider. The distance of the workpiece mounting surface from the front wall is shortened so that the mechanical rigidity of the chuck is increased and its overall thickness is reduced with effective utilization of the interior space of the chuck.
