摘要: A method and apparatus for producing continuous web or sliver of milkweed fibers without the use of conventional carding machines is disclosed. The method generally includes feeding raw materials including milkweed fibers into the apparatus, transferring the milkweed fibers to a sliver collecting net, and producing the slivers on the surface of the sliver collecting net. The slivers can be separated from the sliver collecting net.

摘要: A device for compacting fiber flocks into a flock mat has means for supplying the fiber flocks, a discharge belt for carrying the compacted flock mat away, and walls, which are arranged opposite each other between the means for supplying the fiber flocks and the discharge belt and thus form the boundaries of an essentially vertical chute feed, which defines the transport direction of the fiber flocks. At least one of the walls is supported in such a way that its movement during each cycle has a component in the transport direction of the fiber flocks and a component in the direction transverse to the transport direction.

摘要: An apparatus for stripping fiber material from textile fiber bales has a tower, which can be moved to and fro in relation to the fiber material by means of a carriage having a travel motor or the like, and has at least one boom, which is provided with the stripping apparatus. The boom together with the stripping apparatus can be moved in the height direction of the tower by means of a lifting motor or the like. A movable distance sensor is provided for determination of the location in the length direction. In order to make possible, by simple means, an exact determination of location in the length and/or height direction, a movable distance sensor scans, for location determination in the length and/or height direction, the distances to a counterpart element and calculates from those distances the location.

摘要: The device for the guided transport of a card web comprises a card web transport means (51a-l) for moving the card web (69) forward, which has a peripheral outer surface, wherein at all times a part of the peripheral outer surface forms a contact surface for establishing an entrainment-causing connection with at least parts of the card web (69) to be transported. Furthermore, the device comprises a card web guiding means (72a-i), which comprises a plurality of curved tongues (73a-i) arranged at a spacing next to each other, the tongues being arranged opposite to at least a part of the contact surface of the card web transport means (5a-i) and extending in the direction of movement of the card web (69) and therefore forming a guide surface for the planar guiding of the card web (69), wherein the guide surface has a lower coefficient of friction than the contact surface of the card web transport means (51a-i), and wherein each tongue (73a-i) is movable individually in a direction away from the contact surface of the card web transport device (51a-i) against a biasing force.

摘要: An arrangement for forming a fiber web in which fibers are compacted while remaining evenly distributed through the upper and lower surfaces. The arrangement includes a cabinet for receiving opened and blending fibers, and a fiber web forming chute receiving the fibers from the cabinet. The forming chute includes an upper and a lower wall which engage with and assist with the movement of the fibers through and out of the web forming chute. A packing member is positioned adjacent the exit end, engages with and compresses the emerging fiber web to a desired density and height. An air flow system acts to pass a flow of air through the chute from its entrance. The flow of air engages with the fibers during their passage through the chute. The air flow system includes an air removal system which is located in the upper wall and the packing member. The removal system causes the air to exit the web forming chute upwardly, passing through the web. The air flow engages with fibers forming the web, maintaining the various size fibers evenly distributed throughout the web.

摘要: This invention relates to the creation of a different styled batt from tufts of fiber for delivery to textile machinery. In particular, the batt formed in the style of this invention is particularly suited for delivery to a carding machine. Carding machines are able to more fully utilize fiber processing capacity with lower risk of becoming overloaded because the tufts are less able to be pulled out of the batt intact but are held back allowing for the lickerin roll or other feed arrangement to pull fiber out of the batt in a more continuous and uniform manner.

摘要: A fiber feeder apparatus includes a driven endless supply conveyor belt having a coneveying surface for supporting a fiber pile and an endless spiked lattice arranged at one end of the supply conveyor belt and extending at an upward inclination therefrom. The spiked lattice has spikes arranged to penetrate into the fiber pile for effecting removal of fibers from the fiber pile. The supply conveyor belt is driven such that the fiber pile is being fed by the conveying surface into contact with the spikes. There is further provided a control device which is connected to the drive of the supply conveyor belt for effecting a nonuniform driving thereof.
