    Abstract: A position sensor system for determining a position of a sensor device relative to a magnetic structure, the system comprising: said magnetic structure comprising a plurality of non-equidistant poles; said sensor device comprising at least three magnetic sensors spaced apart over predefined distances; and the sensor device being adapted for: a) measuring at least three in-plane magnetic field components, and for calculating two in-plane field gradients therefrom; b) measuring at least three out-of-plane magnetic field components, and for calculating two out-of-plane field gradients therefrom; c) calculating a coarse signal based on these gradients; d) calculating a fine signal based on these gradients; e) determining said position based on the coarse signal and the fine signal.

    Abstract: An integrated sensor device includes: a semiconductor substrate comprising a horizontal Hall element, and an integrated magnetic flux concentrator located substantially above said horizontal Hall element, wherein the first magnetic flux concentrator has a shape with a geometric center which is aligned with a geometric centre of the horizontal Hall element; and wherein the shape has a height H and a transversal dimension D, wherein H≥30 μm and/or wherein (H/D)≥25%. The integrated magnetic flux concentrator may be partially incorporated in the “interconnection stack”. A method is provided for producing such an integrated sensor device.

    Abstract: A current sensor system for accurately measuring an AC electrical current having frequencies up to 2 kHz, the system comprising: an electrical conductor (e.g. busbar) for conducting said AC current thereby creating a first magnetic field; a magnetic sensor device for measuring a magnetic field component or gradient; an object (e.g. a metal plate) having an electrically conductive surface arranged in the vicinity of said conductor for allowing eddy currents to flow in said surface, thereby creating a second magnetic field which is superimposed with the first magnetic field; wherein the magnetic sensor device is configured for determining the current as a signal or value proportional to the measured component or gradient. The metal plate may have an opening. The current sensor system may further comprise a shielding.

    Abstract: A position sensor device includes position sensor elements for generating analog sense signals. A digitization circuit is provided for a digital signal representative of the input phase based on the analog sense signals and a digital processing unit. An output signal is indicative of the position based on the first output of the processing unit. The processing unit comprises an error signal generator for computing an error signal indicative of a phase difference between the digital signal and a feedback signal. A digital filter filters the error signal to generate the first output. A feedback path provides the feedback signal based on the first output and a filter selector to select a filter to be applied from different filters. At least one input on which a common filter circuit operates is scaled differently for each of the different filters to select different filter bandwidths.

    Abstract: An analog-to-digital converter comprises a first quantizer arranged for yielding a first digital signal; an error signal generation block arranged for generating an error signal representative of a difference between an analog input signal and the first digital signal; an analog loop filter arranged for receiving the error signal; a second quantizer arranged for receiving an output signal of the analog loop filter and for outputting a second digital signal; a digital loop filter arranged for receiving the second digital signal and for providing an input signal to the first quantizer; and a recombiner block comprising a first recombination and a second recombination filter, and an adder circuit for adding outputs of the first and second recombination filters. The first and second recombination filters are selected to obtain an analog-to-digital converted output signal being less dependent on quantization noise caused by the first quantizer than a first digital signal.
