A one-way vent valve is in air way communication with the bottom main body portion. A one-way liquid flow valve is supported by the main body portion. A tubing adaptor is connected to the top main body portion. The valve assembly apparatus can be used to direct urine from a urinary drainage tube into a urine reception container. The one-way liquid flow valve prevents urine from flowing backward up into the urinary drainage tube, and the one-way vent valve prevents urine from leaking from the urine reception container if the container is tipped over.

摘要： A drainage bag (for example a urine collection bag) (10) includes a flexible outlet tube (16) and a pinch valve (18) for selectively pinching the tube closed. The pinch valve includes a pivotal valve member (22) on a first side of the bag, and a support member (20) on an opposite side of the bag. The valve member is pivotally supported on the first side by at least one projection (26) on the support member which projects through an aperture (24) in a web of the bag. During assembly, the support member (20) is firstly fitted to the bag with the projection (26) projecting through the aperture (34), and the valve member (22) is then fitted to the projection (26). In an alternative form, the support has two hook-shaped projections on either side of the outlet tube (16) to which a modified valve member is clipped.

摘要： An external male urinary catheter and collection system utilizes a sheath-like member for accepting the male penis, a negative pressure evacuation device communicating with the sheath-like member, the negative pressure causing the penis to elongate in a simulated erection, and a thin-walled sealing portion of the sheath-like member to provide an air-tight seal about the elongated penis. A one-way drainage tube to permit draining of urine into the evacuation device and a one-way air tube to permit equalization of the negative pressure between the sheath-like member and the evacuation device after urine has been voided into the evacuation device are also provided. The evacuation device may be worn attached to the leg of the wearer.

The seal comprises a protrusion extending outwardly from the cap annular wall portion which sealingly engages against the lumen of the body annular wall portion.

摘要： A liquid drainage system comprising, a receptacle having a chamber to receive liquid, and a depending annular wall in an upper portion of the receptacle. The system has a valve comprising a cup-shaped member of elastic material having a lower wall extending across the cup-shaped member, an upper annular wall extending from the lower wall, with an upper portion of the valve annular wall being snugly received on a lower portion of the receptacle wall, and a hinge member extending outwardly from the cup-shaped member at one side of the lower wall. The cup-shaped member has a slit extending through the cup-shaped member to the hinge member at a location slightly above the lower wall. The slit defines a valve seat above the lower wall with the lower wall serving as a valve element which may sealingly engage against the seat, with the hinge member connecting the lower wall and valve annular wall.
