摘要： An apparatus for use as a pad and for placement intermediate a rail and a railroad tie includes a plurality of geometrical recesses that extend into the pad, either at a normal longitudinal axis or at an angle other than normal. An elastomeric material is used to form the pad. The recesses may include any geometric shape in plan at the surface of the pad. If desired, a tiered structure, is provided for any of the recesses. According to a modification, any of the recesses are modified to include a longitudinal axis that is not normal. The modified recesses include any geometrical, polygonal, circular, or oval shape in plan at the surface of the pad.

摘要： A track fastener has a top plate spacedly surrounded by a frame and connected to the frame by a body of elastomer bonded to both the top plate and the frame at all surfaces at which the elastomer fills the gap between the two. The frame has hoods overhanging ribs of the elastomer which have inclined flanks covered by the elastomer as the elastomer reaches down from the gap between the hood and the rib to the top surface of the top plate lying below the receiving surface of the top plate on which the rail bears.

摘要： An apparatus for use as a pad and for placement intermediate a rail and a railroad tie includes a plurality of cylindrical recesses that extend into the pad. An elastomeric material is used to form the pad. The cylindrical recesses may include a tiered structure, a portion of which is aligned with at least one corresponding cylindrical recess that is disposed on an opposite side of the pad. The cylindrical recesses convert vertical loading into shear forces that are distributed within the pad. Deformation of the pad due to shear and Poisson's ratio occurs substantially within the pad itself thereby lessening the horizontal movement, or scrubbing action, of the pad upon the railroad tie and increasing the life expectancy of the pad and also providing a method for strain attenuation by the use of shear.

摘要： An elastic under-rail pad, made of an elastic plastic or rubber, has two opposite sides. At least one of its opposite sides presents a surface which at least partly is defined at least approximately by a simple sinusoidal or cosinusoidal trigonometric function or by a composite sinusoidal and cosinusoidal trigonometric function, so that at least on a part of one of the two opposite sides of the elastic pad there are formed protrusions (3) and cavities (4) arranged alternately and changing softly into one another. The elastic pad is used mainly in permanent ways of rail transport as an element attenuating vibrations and absorbing dynamic loads transmitted by railway vehicles to underlying rails.

摘要： A pad has a base portion, which lies on a foundation and on which a flange of a railway rail lies, and upstanding side portions extending upwardly from opposite sides of the base portion and formed with a recess in which lies a part of a rail clip. The pad may have sideways-extending portions for projecting on opposite sides of a clip-retaining member and it may also have projecting islands, possibly chevron-shaped, on one face or on both faces. The base portion may be one member made of soft material and this may be fixed to a separate member made of harder material which is formed with the side portions and the recess.
