Abstract:
A hinge apparatus that includes a stationary hinge portion, which includes a first bracket configured to be attached to a fixed surface, a first arm extending from the first bracket, and a second arm extending from the first bracket. The first and second brackets include axial holes with a hinge pin arranged therethrough. The hinge pin defines a rotation axis. The stationary hinge portion also includes a stop plate extending away from the first bracket and connected to the first arm. The hinge apparatus also includes a rotatable hinge portion, which includes a body arranged around the hinge pin between the first and second arms and a stop body extending from the body along the rotation axis. Ends of the stop body contact the stop plate to limit rotation of the body about the rotation axis. A second bracket configured to be attached to a movable body.
Abstract:
A faceplate body for a functionally essential structural component, in particular for a fitting with a faceplate having at least the appearance of a decorative element, and with a support element, includes at least one attachment means. The attachment means is configured for attaching to the functionally essential structural component. The support element is configured from a plastic material.
Abstract:
A door closer comprises a piston cooperating with a rotating pinion. Upon rotation of the pinion in the door opening direction, the piston moves toward the second end of the housing forcing fluid from a second variable volume chamber through a passage to a first variable volume chamber and compressing a spring assembly for storing energy. The spring assembly urges the piston toward the first end of the housing for forcing fluid from the first variable volume chamber to the second variable volume chamber and rotating the pinion in the door closing direction. A controller controls the position of a valve in the passage based on the sensed angular position of a door and the position of the valve for determining the amount of hydraulic fluid flowing through the valve.
Abstract:
A modular rail system for suspending sliding doors, including at least one rail profile having a top side arranged for being fixed against a horizontal wall part, a bottom side having a rail portion for carrying suspension wheels of a sliding door, a first lateral side arranged for being fixed against a vertical wall part, and an open second lateral side. On both opposite lateral sides the rail profile includes recesses having substantially the same shape for engaging complementary spacer elements. A sliding door system including a rail system, at least one sliding door with suspension wheels and at least one repositionable braking/stopping element having a stop for defining an extreme position of the sliding door and a releasable fixing element for fixing the braking/stopping element in the rail system. The fixing element is spaced a predetermined distance from the stop, chosen for maintaining user accessibility to the fixing element while the stop is located in a user inaccessible position.
Abstract:
A door assembly is disclosed which comprises a stationary frame, a movable frame, and an adjusting assembly. The adjusting assembly comprise an adjusting element detachably connected with the stationary frame and having a rod portion; a fixing element detachably connected with the movable frame and having a first cavity at its top for receiving the rod portion and a second cavity at one side; and a cam member receivable in the second cavity, the cam member being rotably connected to the fixing element and movable between an open position and a close position. The door assembly can be assembled without drilling operation, minimizing risk of damage to the frames, and can be assembled by a single person.
Abstract:
A retrofit conversion kit for converting a generally moisture intolerant door operating apparatus from overhead use to underground use and for operating a swinging door while protecting the door apparatus against moisture and dust encroachment within its underground location. The kit includes an enclosure to be mounted in a sub-floor stratum beneath a swinging door, with all of the door operating and controlling apparatus, whether electronic or mechanical, being self-contained within the enclosure. A seal arrangement provides the contamination encroachment protection while permitting access to the self-contained operating apparatus within the enclosure while the door remains in place.
Abstract:
A retrofit conversion kit for facilitating the conversion of a door operating apparatus conventionally mounted above the door, to a position mounted and anchored underground for operating a swinging door therefrom. The conversion to an anchored underground position is facilitated by incorporating positional adjustment mechanisms covering any or all possible adjustment dimensions.
Abstract:
Prefabricated foldable building units are described that have one or more of the following advantages. They are more easily prefabricated, more easily transported to building sites without requiring special permits, unloadable and unfoldable at the building sites without using cranes (they can be unloaded using ground-level lifting rigs and unfolded using, for example, a cable mechanism), allow precise and fast completion at the building site, and allow significant reduction in the scope of work to be completed on-site, where costs and scheduling are far less manageable. Further, methods for unloading and unfolding foldable building units are described that obviate the need for one or more cranes that can be expensive and project-complicating, thereby opening up a significant percentage of building sites for placement of prefabricated foldable building units.
Abstract:
A linear actuator particularly for sliding doors and for sliding door or window closure elements in general, comprising a box-like body, to be fixed with corresponding elements of fixing between the two jambs of a door or of a window or door frame, in order to move a leaf by translational motion, fixed drive elements being accommodated within the box-like body which are adapted to move corresponding transmission elements which are associated with the leaf. The box-like body is telescopic in structure in order to be adapted in length to the width of the space of the door, or other window or door frame, with which it is intended to be used.
Abstract:
A sliding door with reversible hand configurations can include a plurality of mounting locations along a top and a bottom edge thereof. The plurality of mounting locations can be configured to allow the sliding door to selectively hang and operate according to multiple orientations in order to satisfy site-specific handedness requirements. In one implementation, the sliding door includes a door frame and mounting hardware for selectively mounting the sliding door to a roller track affixed near the upper portion of a doorway.
