Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes a memory and an estimation unit. The memory stores a color conversion model representing relations between plural colorimetric values obtained by performing, in plural color measurement directions, a color measurement of plural images formed on a first sheet using plural coloring materials including a luster coloring material, and coloring-material amounts used for the images for which the color measurement is performed and the color measurement directions for which the colorimetric values are obtained. The estimation unit estimates, on the basis of a colorimetric value, of a measurement target image formed on a second sheet of a type different from a type of the first sheet, obtained in a single direction and on the basis of the color conversion model, a colorimetric value, of the measurement target image, obtained in a case of performing a color measurement in a direction other than the single direction.
Abstract:
In the method of hair color consultation, actual individual images of a person are continuously recorded by a video camera and are input into a computer in a continuous sequence in real time. Automatic image editing and processing is carried out in real time, in which the computer continuously marks hair regions of the individual images by an automatic analysis of close and similar pixel color values, of contiguous texture, and/or of contiguous morphological properties, and changes hair color of the hair regions according to predetermined specifications. Then the modified individual images with the changed hair color are displayed on the at least one screen and/or touch screen in real time so that the desired hair color may be selected. An apparatus for performing the method is also described.
Abstract:
Assembly for selecting matching colors to base colors of user articles. The assembly comprises a substrate provided with a plurality of selection areas that have mutually differing selection colors. The assembly further comprises a cover having a first main surface provided with a first base color and having a second main surface. The cover is provided with a window. The assembly is provided with holding means for holding the cover to the substrate in a first cover position wherein, by means of the window, at least one selection area is exposed. The second main surface is provided with a second base color. The window and the holding means are arranged for holding the cover to the substrate in a second cover position wherein, by means of the window, at least one selection area is exposed.
Abstract:
A method in a data processing system, a data processing system, and a computer program in computer useable medium generating a numeric specification for one or more target colors that are useful for selecting colors in which a target lightness (Ltarg), a target hue (Htarg) and a target saturation (Ctarg) are determined based upon user inputs.
Abstract:
A color identifying display system having a lighting surface having an alterable apparent surface color, a color capture device to capture a color of an object placed within a detection area, and a processor. The lighting surface and the color capture device are coupled to the processor. The processor analyzes the captured color to determine a prominent color of the object and to control a color of the lighting surface based on the determined prominent color. The color of the lighting surface may be adjusted to match the prominent color, complement the prominent color, or be analogous to the prominent color.
Abstract:
In accordance with the description, electronic color matching apparatus with a display of multiple independently controllable segments enable a user to visually compare, capture, catalog and disseminate color as tangible information. In one embodiment, the invention provides an accurate color display representation of a color by means of a novel color screen that is also capable of hundreds of shade adjustments of the overall RGB color component levels until an exact color Hue is displayed. Such a novel color screen of this invention may be designated as an RGBH screen or display device. (Red, Green, Blue, Hue).
Abstract:
A device comprising an illumination means and a light sensing means, that can examine and memorize a discrete color of an object based on the magnitude of the reflected light bouncing off of the colored surface in at least three areas of the electromagnetic spectrum. The device also provides output as a visually and/or audibly perceptible signal for deciphering the color. The color range identified by the device is not limited to the visible spectrum and may include infra-red and ultra-violet light. A storage means for memorizing colors may also be included in the device. Applications of ColorStick technology may include children's toys, aids for the visually handicapped (e.g. blind or color blind individuals), designers, internet shoppers, gardeners, etc.
Abstract:
A color identifying display system having alighting surface (111, 211, 501, 611) having an alterable apparent surface color, a color capture device (105, 205, 317, 507, 603) to capture a color of an object (109, 203, 305, 503) placed within a detection area, and a processor (113). The lighting surface (111, 211, 501, 611) and the color capture device (105, 205, 317, 507, 603) are coupled to the processor (113).
