Abstract:
An emission/reception installation of satellite signals including a reflector to receive and emit radio signals, a unit integrating an LNB to transform radio signals into electrical signals in a first frequency band, to amplify the electrical signals in the first frequency band and to lower the first frequency band towards a first intermediate frequency band. The unit includes an emitter to amplify electrical signals in a second intermediate band having no common frequency with the first intermediate band, to raise the second intermediate band towards a second frequency band, to transform into radio signals the electrical signals in the second frequency band and to transmit these radio signals towards the reflector. The installation includes a box including a modulator to modulate electrical signals in the second intermediate band, an output to transmit electrical signals in the first intermediate band and a coaxial cable connecting the unit and the box.
Abstract:
Various techniques for receiving broadcast at a mobile broadcast receiver are described. In an aspect, the broadcast receiver provides user notification and/or automatically launches an application based on user preferences. In another aspect, the broadcast receiver improves channel switching time by predicting future channel selection based on real-time monitoring of user inputs. In another aspect, the broadcast receiver supports drag-and-drop user interface. In another aspect, the broadcast receiver provides additional information associated with a selected broadcast stream. In another aspect, the broadcast receiver processes a broadcast stream and sends output data to an external device for further processing and/or display. In another aspect, the broadcast receiver simultaneously displays live content and stored content. In another aspect, the broadcast receiver simultaneously receives multiple broadcast streams for displayed on one or more display units. In another aspect, the broadcast receiver collects user statistics and sends the statistics to a network entity.

Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure describe a method and system for the delivery and notification of user requested radio content. Aspects include a radio unit that is physically integrated with and is part of a telematics unit and receives user requested content data from a radio control center over a wireless network. The radio unit processes the user requested content data using a user request application. Further, the user requested data includes the scheduled times for one or more items of user requested content. The user request application orders the scheduled times for the one or more items of user requested content chronologically and displays the one or more items of user requested content data on the user display accordingly.
Abstract:
This method for identifying a video programme received by a user (UE), by identifying an audio sequence contained within that video programme, consists of; receiving (1-6) a plurality of reference audio sequences, and receiving, for each of those sequences, a signature and a reference audio signature identifier, —preselecting (8) a series of reference audio signature identifiers, then correlating (9) the signatures respectively corresponding to these preselected identifiers, with a signature representing an audio sequence contained within the video programme received by the user, and selecting from among the preselected identifiers the one which exhibits the greatest correlation, in order to identify an audio sequence, and thereby to identify the video programme received by the user; In order to preselect a series of reference audio signature identifiers, it consists of particularly taking into account information describing the video programme received by the user, which is provided by a programme guide that is distributed in parallel with the is video programmes to be identified.
Abstract:
The protection of data against illicit transfer with respect to specific data can be ensured. An integrated receiver decoder determines whether or not ATRAC (Adaptive Transform Acoustic Coding) data requiring authentication is contained in selected piece-of-music data in accordance with determination data added into transmitted data. When ATRAC data requiring authentication is contained, the integrated receiver decoder performs an authentication process between it and a storage which is a transfer destination of the ATRAC data, and performs downloading of the ATRAC data after confirming that the storage is a valid apparatus to which the downloading may be performed.
Abstract:
A method and system are provided for delivering a stream in a mobile broadcast system that receives stream contents of broadcast services (BCAST) from a content creation and provides the broadcast services to one terminal or one group of terminals via one of a broadcast distribution system (BDS) and an interaction network. The method involves requesting assignment of a bearer in which the stream is to be delivered, assigning a bearer in response to the bearer assignment request, adapting the stream to be appropriate for the assigned bearer, and delivering the adapted stream to the terminal in the assigned bearer.
Abstract:
A system and method for using a webpad to select a target device which is to receive from a source device a stream of a digital representation of a media. The webpad is used to send a transmission to the source device to cause the source device to route the stream of the digital representation of the media to the target device where the target device decodes and converts the digital representation of the media into analog signals to thereby allow for a reproduction of the media
Abstract:
An electronic device, including: a storage device operable to store first priority data associated with a first signal, and second priority data associated with a second signal; and a processor operable to compare the first priority data and the second priority data, and when the second priority data is indicative of a higher priority than the first priority data, to use the second signal while suspending use of the first signal.
