Abstract:
A call processing method, service control device and call processing system is provided. The method includes: correspondence relationship between a called number and a manage number is pre-established; service authentication of a caller is performed upon reception of information on a call request initiated by the caller to the called number; a call to the called number is initiated with the management number after authentication is passed; and a called terminal identifies the managed number and sets up communication with the caller after identification is passed, thereby avoiding direct calling of the caller to the called number without any authentication flow and improving service security.
Abstract:
A system comprising a first network element, a second network element and a communication device. The first network element is communicatively coupled to the second network element and the communication device. The communication device sends multimedia session information to the first network element. The first network element analyzes the multimedia session information for urgent emergency circumstances. The first network element forwards the multimedia session information to a destination on the second network element if urgent emergency circumstances are found in the multimedia session information.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for providing information to the public by way of publicly accessible devices. A network of video displays are deployed at publicly accessible locations such as inside public transportation vehicles or at public transportation stations. The video feed to these video displays are provided by a video distribution hub which receives the video feed from a network hub. Different audio feeds are accessible to end users or by telephone. End users can call a telephone interface which receives and routes audio feeds from an audio distribution hub. End users can access audio feeds which may be synchronized with a video feed to provide a complete audio visual experience to the end user. For more useful content, the video displayed at any location may be adjusted to be relevant to the area where the video display is deployed. Audio content synchronized to one of these disparate video feeds can be accessed by the end user by dialing different options through the telephone interface. Audio feeds not tied to a specific video feed, such as radio stations or themed audio feeds, may also be accessed by the end user through the telephone interface.
Abstract:
A method for managing accessibility to a visual voicemail (VVM) service from a mobile device includes detecting that a first SIM has been inserted into a slot interface of the mobile device and establishing a data session with a VVM system to create a first VVM account. The first VVM account is configured to receive and store voicemail messages directed to a subscriber identified by the first SIM. The method further includes the mobile device receiving a voicemail message from the VVM system and storing the voicemail message in a memory. The method further includes the mobile device detecting the first SIM being removed and a second SIM being inserted into the slot interface. Upon insertion of the second SIM, the mobile device prevents access to the voicemail message associated with the first VVM account and communicative access to the first VVM account.
Abstract:
A method for operating a mobile device to set a voicemail greeting includes providing the mobile device with a memory for storing a visual voicemail (VVM) application, an I/O interface, and a microphone for receiving an audio input. The method further includes: receiving a selection for an option to record the voicemail greeting, receiving the audio input, recording the audio input as the voicemail greeting for a voicemail account associated with the mobile device, storing the recorded voicemail greeting in the memory, and generating a request that includes the recorded voicemail greeting, a network address for a VVM system, and instructions to set the voicemail greeting as an active voicemail greeting for the voicemail account. The method further includes transmitting the request to the VVM system and receiving a response from the VVM system that includes an indication of whether the voicemail greeting was set as the active voicemail greeting.

Abstract:
In one aspect, a method for tapping conventional multimedia connections such as video telephony according to Lawful Interception standards in a packet-oriented network is provided. A control, for the duration of a call, replaces the point-specific data of the respective partner end by the point-specific data of the tapping device, thereby guiding the useful data flows via the tapping device, tapping them and optionally adapting them to the interface of the tapping agencies.
Abstract:
A presence aware communications system, comprising a messaging system configured to perform at least one of the following operations: (a) provide a subscriber's communication device with information regarding an incoming contact during a messaging session between the subscriber's communication device and the messaging system; (b) provide the subscriber's communication device with a text message containing information regarding one or more messages when a notification is received that the subscriber's communication device is available; (c) provide the subscriber's communication device with a text message relating to a voice message from a different first party received by the messaging system; (d) in response to the subscriber's communication device requesting a connection with at least one of an inputted telephone number and address, provide the subscriber's communication device with a notification respecting at least one eligible message from a second party associated with the at least one of an inputted telephone number and address; (e) while a contact between the subscriber and a different third party is in progress, provide the subscriber's communication device with information respecting the at least one eligible message from the third party; (f) transform an audio messaging session between the messaging system and the communication device of a contacting party into a graphical user interface-based audio session; and (g) transform the audio messaging session into a session having a video channel or both audio and video channels.

Abstract:
A communications system for enabling communications between a prime user and members of a group. The system includes a first set of interlaces capable of communicating with the prime user via a first plurality of communication platforms using at least a first format and a second format; and a second set of interfaces capable of communicating with each of the members of the group via a second plurality of communication platforms using at least the first format and the second format. The system also includes a session manager coupled to the first set of interfaces having a plurality of routines configured to enable a prime user in communication with any one of the first set of interfaces to create a message to be transmitted to a selected group in either the first format or the second format; and a format converter capable of converting the message between the first and second formats. A communication controller is configured to obtain the message from the first database in both the first and second formats, obtain group member information regarding each member's contact preferences, and to initiate transmission of the message from the second set of interfaces to the selected group members using various, communication platforms based on the member's contact preferences.
