摘要: A helical sector gear having a body and a gear segment having a plurality of helical teeth. The gear segment has a toothed sector, on which all of the helical teeth are formed, and spacing segments on the opposite circumferential ends of the toothed sector. Each of the spacing segments has a circumferential surface, which is longer than a pitch of the helical teeth, and a radial surface that is formed in a helical manner that conforms to the helix angle of helical teeth. A die set for forming the helical sector gear and a related method are also provided.

摘要: A cutting insert which is excellent both in manufacturing performances and dimensional precision and forms a pair with a tool body and a gear cutter including the cutting insert are provided. A cutting insert has a first face which is a rake face, a second face, a peripheral side face, and a mounting hole. On a ridge line where the first face and the peripheral side face cross each other, a cutting blade is formed. The cutting blade includes a corner part capable of machining a tooth bottom of a gear, and a main part extending to the corner part. The peripheral side face includes an inner side face in contact with a tool body and a first flank facing the main part. The mounting hole penetrates the first flank and the inner side face so that a center axis crosses the inner side face perpendicularly. The cutting insert is formed having a wedge shape such that thickness of the first flank and the inner side face becomes smaller as it goes from one end to the other end.

摘要: The invention makes a tool available, which allows highly precise, simultaneous production of two back-tapers on the tooth flanks of the teeth of a workpiece in the form of a gearwheel, independent of their width. For this purpose, the invention provides that the tool includes a tool carrier configured in elongated manner, in the manner of a journal, and oriented coaxial to its central longitudinal axis of the tool, and includes at least two blades, which come into engagement with the tooth to be machined, in each instance, removing chips during use, wherein the blades are held on the tool carrier at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction of the tool carrier and extend over a partial length of the tool carrier, in each instance, in terms of their width. According to the invention, in this regard the position of at least one of the blades is adjustable in relation to the other blade, so as to balance out deformations of the tool carrier that occur during use. The invention also states a method for simultaneous production of at least two back-tapers on the teeth of a workpiece in the form of a gearwheel, by means of a tool according to the invention.

摘要: A method wherein a cutting or grinding chamfering tool (25) is guided along the face width of a gear (12, 23, 52) through one tooth slot (8) (e.g. from heel to toe) while it contacts the topland corners (10, 1 1) of the respective concave and convex tooth flanks of adjacent teeth (2, 4). The tool moves to an index position, the gear is indexed to the next tooth slot position and the tool moves through the tooth slot (e.g. from the toe to the heel). The cycle is repeated until all topland corners are chamfered.

摘要: A gear cutting tool wherein each cutting blade group includes two differently positioned but identical cutting blades (41, 40) such as an one outside and one inside blade. The inventive blade arrangement only requires a single type of blade (30) in order to simultaneously cut the convex and the concave tooth flanks of a gear as well as the root fillet and root bottom portions of tooth slots. The cutter system allows radial adjustment of the outside cutting blade and the inside cutting blade independently of one another. Additionally, inside and outside cutting blades may be exchanged with one another.
