    Abstract: A headstock 10 having a chuck 12 and a tailstock 20 having a shaft 21 are mounted on a bed 1 and can move with respect to each other in the direction of the Z-axis, A carriage 50 is slidably mounted on the bad 1 and can move in the Z-axis direction with respect to the rotational axis of a spindle 11.
