    摘要: A low release effort eccentric double pawl vehicle latch includes a ratchet, primary pawl, auxiliary ratchet and secondary pawl in combination with a secure lock lever. The secure lock lever selectively inhibits movement of the secondary pawl to prevent premature or unintended opening of the latch. A drive mechanism sequences movement of the secure lock lever and secondary pawl to open the latch. Upon reset, the drive mechanism drives the auxiliary ratchet back to its closed state and in the process the auxiliary ratchet can engage and return the secondary pawl back to a closed state in the event of an insufficient bias force thereon.

    摘要: Disclosed is an arresting system for arresting a swivel motion between two swivel-mounted elements, including a brake rod connected to the first element, an arresting device on the second element with a housing, through which the brake rod extends, in which case the arresting device has a drive and at least one brake-shoe element that can be moved via the drive relative to the brake rod. The brake-shoe element is inside the housing and engageable with the brake rod upon exertion of a braking force. Included are a sensor, and an electronic device controlling braking force exerted by the brake-shoe element on the brake rod depending on the signals from the sensor. The drive is an electric motor driving in rotation an actuation element that, to produce the relative motion between the brake-shoe element and the brake rod, has an actuation cam acting on the brake-shoe element.

    摘要: A means for opening tailgates of vehicles having a split tailgate with a lower door section and an upper door section. The upper door section would essential comprise the rear glass and mounting means of the upper door section to the vehicle. Further, it includes a pair of side guide tracks in the outer frame about the rear glass or panel. The lower door section includes at least four rollers for moving in the guide tracks. A locking and lifting handle in the lower door section releases the lower door to move vertically into the guide tracts. An upper detent or similar device would hold the lower door section on the outside of the upper door section when pushed to the upper extent. When the handle is release, the lower section would be locked to the upper door section.
