摘要: There is provided a method of arranging a security alarm system on a window/door and framing. The system includes an object and a sensor which is capable of detecting the object within a predetermined range. The method includes positioning a first of the sensor and object on a first of the window/door and framing. The method includes opening the window/door to a threshold distance which facilitates ventilation and inhibits an intruder from passing through the window/door. The method includes positioning a second of the sensor and object along a second of the window/door and framing such that the sensor is able to detect the object as the window/door is opened up to but not past the threshold distance.
There is also provided in combination, a window/door, framing extending about the window/door and a security alarm system coupled to the window/door and framing in the manner described above.-

摘要: A field detector (2) comprises a field-responsive element (10) which undergoes a dimensional change when exposed to a predetermined field; and an interferometric read-out arrangement arranged to detect the dimensional change of the field-responsive element. A light source (4) is arranged to provide a measurement beam reflected from the field-responsive element (10) and a reference beam not reflected from the field-responsive element (10), an optical detector (6) being disposed so as to detect at least part of an interference pattern produced by the measurement beam and the reference beam. The field-responsive element (10) has a shape comprising a curved surface and is constrained at least one edge (12) thereof such that the dimensional change causes the curved surface to be displaced in a direction which changes an optical path length of the measurement beam relative to the reference beam, thereby changing the interference pattern detected by said optical detector.

摘要: A nanodevice provides for electric-field control of magnon-QSD interactions. The nanodevice includes a ferroelectric substrate, a ferromagnetic material disposed over the ferroelectric substrate, and a nanodiamond including an ensemble of nitrogen-vacancy (NV) spins, each NV magnetically interfacing with the ferromagnetic material. An electric field is measured by applying a voltage across the ferroelectric substrate and the ferromagnetic material, changing a magnon excitation spectrum of the ferromagnetic material with respect to an electron spin resonance frequency of the ensemble of NV spins, and measuring a relaxation rate of the ensemble of NV spins.

The controller receives the first and the second signal pulses from the at least one output signal terminal, evaluates the first and the second signal pulses, and detects an error of an operation of the magnetic field sensor arrangement in response to the first and the second signal pulses not satisfying an expected output pattern of the first and the second signal pulses.
