摘要： A registration apparatus includes a scanner configured to optically read a product code from a product, a communication interface configured to communicate with one or more payment apparatuses associated with the registration apparatus, a display, and a processor. The processor is configured to control the communication interface to transmit registration data including data of one or more product codes read through the scanner for a transaction to a selected one of the one or more payment apparatuses, for processing payment for one or more products registered by the registration apparatus. The processor is also configured to control the display to display a monitoring screen indicating an operational state of a checkout process carried out by the selected one of the one or more payment apparatuses to which the registration data has been transmitted, based on information received from the selected one of the one or more payment apparatuses.

An example method of detecting droplets associated with a sneeze or cough at a point of sale includes: capturing, by an image sensor associated with a checkout workstation, one or more images; analyzing, by one or more processors, the images captured by the image sensor associated with the checkout workstation, to detect an indication that one or more droplets associated with a sneeze or cough are present upon one or more equipment associated with the checkout workstation; and triggering, by the one or more processors, a disinfection of the checkout workstation responsive to detecting the indication that the one or more droplets associated with the sneeze or cough are present upon the one or more equipment associated with the checkout workstation.

The method may also include generating an encryption key associated with the reader device and transmitting the encryption key to the merchant system, wherein the encryption key is provided by merchant system to the reader device for use by the reader device when communicating with the commerce platform during merchant transactions.

摘要： An accounting device according to an embodiment includes an input device that receives an instruction to start a job. A first display device includes a first screen facing a first direction towards a person who operates the input device. A change machine includes a depositing port for receiving money and a dispensing port for dispensing money. A second display device includes a second screen facing a second direction different from the first direction and towards a person who deposits money into the depositing port or receives money from the dispensing port. When the instruction received by the input device is to start a predetermined job that is different from the accounting transaction and that includes depositing money into the change machine or dispensing money from the change machine, the processor causes information supporting execution of the predetermined job to be displayed on the second screen.

摘要： Systems and methods for providing merchant/customer interaction include determining that a tablet computer is in a merchant orientation, retrieving merchant product information according to a received instruction and merchant orientation information, and displaying a merchant screen on the tablet computer that includes the merchant product information according to the merchant orientation information. A change in the orientation of the tablet computer enclosure/stand is then detected from the merchant orientation to a customer orientation. In response, the merchant screen is transitioned on the tablet computer display to a customer screen as the tablet computer enclosure/stand changes orientations by moving the merchant screen and the customer screen linearly while in a stacked orientation. The customer screen includes the merchant product information displayed according to customer orientation information such that the merchant product information is displayed differently on the customer screen relative to the merchant screen.

摘要： A checkout apparatus according to an embodiment includes a weighing scale that measures a weight on a surface thereof. A hand-held scanner acquires commodity identifying information corresponding to a commodity at an arbitrary position. A fixed scanner acquires commodity identifying information corresponding to a commodity at a reading position. In an initial state, if a change in the measured weight on the surface is greater than the predetermined amount when no commodity identifying information has been received in the initial state, a processor receives the commodity identifying information acquired by the first information input device. The processor determines whether a change in the measured weight is within a predetermined range based on the acquired commodity identifying information. If the change is within the predetermined range, the processor registers the commodity corresponding to the acquired commodity identifying information. The processor performs a settlement processing for payment of each registered commodity.
