摘要: An In-Building Communications system is disclosed which permits communication in tunnels, underground parking garages, tall buildings such as skyscrapers, buildings having thick walls of concrete or metal, and/or any building which has communication dead zones. The invention includes a portable bi-directional amplifier (BDA) system, an outdoor antenna system attached to the building or independently mountable, an indoor antenna system attached to the building or independently mountable inside the building, and a standardized, In-Building Communications Interface Box (IBCIB) affixed preferably to the exterior of the building. The IBCIB communicates with antenna systems attached to the building. Emergency response personnel carry portable outdoor and indoor antenna systems and a portable, battery-powered, BDA system which may be independently deployed or connected to the IBCIB during an event such as a fire, earthquake, an act of terrorism, or whenever radio coverage enhancement is required.

摘要: A system and method for detecting the presence of firearms and metal articles adapted with embedded RFID tags is disclosed. A plurality of RFID interrogators sequentially and intermittently transmit short burst interrogating signals thereby causing RFID tags within range to transmit a responsive signal which may be used to activate alarms and other security measures. RFID tags are configured using an ASIC chip enabled for 10 Ghz wireless communication. The ASIC chip is embedded within a bolt carrier that includes a slotted antenna aperture resulting in extended range wireless communication. A plurality of RFID interrogators are installed in an detection area and transmit a radio frequency signals which excite any RFID enabled devices within range causing the devices to generate and transmit a response signal which may be used to trigger a variety of security measures such as sounding an alarm, locking doors, contacting law enforcement, etc.

A third distance between the centroid of the first conductor and a centroid of the fourth conductor is longer than the first distance. A fourth distance between the centroid of the second conductor and the centroid of the fourth conductor is longer than the second distance.

摘要: An electronic device may be provided with wireless circuitry. The wireless circuitry may include one or more antennas and transceiver circuitry such as millimeter wave transceiver circuitry. The antennas may be formed from metal traces on printed circuits. A flexible printed circuit may have an area on which the transceiver circuitry is mounted. Protruding portions may extend from the area on which the transceiver circuitry is mounted and may be separated from the area on which the transceiver circuitry is mounted by bends. Antenna resonating elements such as patch antenna resonating elements and dipole resonating elements may be formed on the protruding portions and may be used to transmit and receive millimeter wave antenna signals through dielectric-filled openings in a metal electronic device housing or a dielectric layer such as a display cover layer formed from glass or other dielectric.

摘要: A system includes a first antenna and a second antenna. The first antenna includes an antenna section. The antenna section includes a first antenna segment, a second antenna segment adjacent to the first antenna segment, and a notch circuit disposed within a notch between the first antenna segment and the second antenna segment. The notch circuit prevents a first frequency of a signal from passing from the first antenna segment to the second antenna segment while allowing a second frequency from the signal to pass from the first antenna segment to the second antenna segment. The second antenna is disposed proximate to the first antenna. The first antenna occupies a second near field region of the second antenna and the second antenna occupies a first near field region of the first antenna.
