    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a wireless power transmission device. A wireless power transmission device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a coil part including a plurality of partially overlapping coils; a coil combination generator configured to generate coil combinations including at least one of the plurality of coils; and a controller configured to transmit a coil selection signal through the coil combinations and to select an operating coil combination from the coil combinations based on a response intensity of a response signal for the coil selection signal and charging efficiency of a wireless power reception device. Accordingly, a high-efficiency charging area can be extended in partially overlapping multiple coils.

    摘要: In aspects, techniques for detecting and discriminating foreign objects near an inductive wireless power transfer system is disclosed. The method is based on hybrid inductive and capacitive sensing. The apparatus includes a sensing system, a measurement circuit, and a controller. The sensing system senses the object based on at least one of an inductive or a capacitive effect. The sensing system includes an inductive sense element, which has an electrical characteristic that changes in a presence of the object based on the inductive effect. The sensing system further includes a capacitive sense element, which has an electrical characteristic that changes in the presence of the object based on the capacitive effect. The measurement circuit measures the electrical characteristics in the inductive and capacitive sense circuits. The controller determines the presence of the object, and discriminates between metallic and non-metallic objects based on the change in the measured electrical characteristics.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a wireless power transmitter and method for detecting a RFID/NFC card. Disclosed in the present application is a wireless power receiver comprising: a power pickup unit configured to receive, in a power transfer phase, wireless power generated by magnetic coupling from a wireless power transmitter; and a communications/control unit configured to transfer, in a negotiation phase, a first end-of-power-transfer (EPT) packet to the wireless power transmitter for detecting an RFID/NFC card, and to detect the RFID/NFC card during a re-ping time secured on the basis of the first EPT packet, wherein the first EPT packet instructs requesting the removal of a power signal for a predetermined time. As the process for detecting communication cards, such as RFID or NFC, between the wireless power transmitter and receiver is clearly defined, such RFID/NFC cards can be protected against getting destroyed by the wireless power, and a stable wireless power transfer can be achieved.
