摘要： We provide methods and apparatus for handling sod which includes a washing machine in which the water is recycled and during recycling the soil removed from the sod is delivered for reuse. We also provide a method of delivering and take up of rolls of sod in which the peripheral speed of the roll remains constant regardless of the roll diameter; we display methods of physically working sod to remove soil therefrom and also methods of handling sod by supporting it with a flexible mesh where there is likely to be stress on the sod.

摘要： A landscape edging machine detachably mounted to the frame of a commercial mower and connection to the power-takeoff shaft to provide rotational power through a drive mechanism to a rotatable cupped disc is disclosed wherein the edging machine is provided with a cupped disc having a serrated edge and being positionally angled with respect to the direction of travel of the machine to facilitate the digging of the soil out of a trench to form a line of demarcation between the grassed lawn area and the adjacent mulched plant bed. The rotatable disc is positioned proximate to the front wheels to permit the disc to easily track along with the mower around curved mulch bed lines. A gauge wheel forms a limit to the depth at which the disc will penetrate the ground. The attachment is pivotally moveable to an inoperative position above the ground.

摘要： A farm or garden implement capable of raking or soil conditioning as desired comprising a frame movable along the ground as with wheels, a deck for raking having replaceable resilient tines and a deck for soil conditioning having rigid tines. The raking deck and the soil conditioning deck are separate decks which may be interchangeably coupled to the frame. When mounted in the frame, each deck may be remotely raised or lowered. The soil conditioning deck further has a blade extending between the sides of the deck which is vertically adjustable. The raking deck also has a release grid which permits release of leaves and the like when the tines are full, such release possible without interruption to the raking. The implement may be attached to a vehicle by a hitch.

摘要： A sod laying machine having front rear sections articulated together. A boom on the front section has arms extending forwardly, with gripper arms extending downwardly from the boom to grip a roll of sod. A control roller connected to the boom arms drives the sod roll to control its speed of unwinding. The sod roll has its grass side facing outwardly and its top unwinds rearwardly so an operator in a seat at the front of the machine, between the boom arms, has an unobstructed view of the critical area of sod extending in the air from the roll to the ground, to reduce the likelihood of buckles and tears therein. The machine passes over the sod after it is laid, to roll the sod.
