    摘要: Coupling for transmission of torque, speed, and hydraulic thrust from a power section of a motor to a drive or output shaft. The coupling has a pair of mated hubs each with cantilevered teeth extending therefrom. The teeth are irregular in shape with an “S” curved driver side, a slanted unloaded surface, and a tooth base broader that the tooth top, which provide improved torsional and fatigue strength and wear resistance to the coupling. The coupling has utility in single and double articulation as a transmission in a mud motor for downhole directional drilling of subterranean formations. The coupling also has utility in other drilling operations employing motors requiring couplings of or for single or double articulation for minerals, geothermals, and HDD associated underground utilities. The invention further has utility with coiled tubing drilling and any power transmission equipment either with angular misalignment or direct drive.

    摘要: A rotary percussive hydraulic drill comprises a body; a shank having female coupling splines and male coupling splines; a striking piston configured to strike the shank; a rotation drive device configured to drive the shank in rotation; a front abutment surface against which the shank is configured to come into abutment. The shank has an annular bearing flange which is provided on an outer surface of the shank and which has an annular bearing surface configured to come into abutment against the front abutment surface. Each of the female and male coupling splines provided on the shank extends from the annular bearing flange in the direction of the striking piston, wherein a connecting surface of each female coupling spline provided on the shank being at least in part formed by a curved concave surface extending substantially in an extension direction of the respective female coupling spline and having a radius of curvature which is less than a radial height of each of the male coupling splines provided on the shank.

    摘要: A drill pipe connecting apparatus has radially extending locking openings to the drilling drive of a rig. An inner tube receives a free end of the drill pipe by the locking opening of the drill pipe. An outer tube at least partially encompasses the inner tube and connects to the drive. The inner tube has, at the drill pipe end, radially extending through-recesses for guiding/allowing passage of locking elements, radially slidingly movable in the through-recesses. External guide elements on the outer tube form control gates for adjusting the radial position of the locking elements between open/locking positions by relative rotation. A connecting device releasably connects the tubes in a rotationally fixed manner; positive-locking elements extend circumferentially around the inner face of the outer tube and on the outer face of the inner tube. These elements enter into positive-locking engagement or reach free-running position, depending upon the longitudinal tube position.

    摘要: An apparatus in the form of an adapter for forming a connection comprising a first part adapted for coupling with a second part by a quick-release coupling formed by a first projection of the first part having an at least partial dovetail shape and a recess of the second part having an at least partial dovetail shape. An opening in the recess is adapted for receiving the projection in an axial direction. In other embodiments, the adapter is: (1) frictionally enhanced for engaging an internal portion of the drilling element; (2) includes a radial projection elongated in an axial direction for engaging the internal portion of the one drilling element; and/or (3) has a cutter for scoring an internal portion of the one drilling element upon being inserted therein and rotated. An adapter is also disclosed for use with a drill chuck, including for creating a “twist lock” connection.

    摘要: A system of near-bit measurement while drilling system includes motor system, measurement transmission system, wireless receiving system and non-magnetic short sub. The measurement transmission system is set inside the motor system, and the transmitting device from the measurement transmission system and the receiving device from the wireless receiving system are set inside the non-magnetic cavity. In the process of drilling via drill bit, the azimuth gamma and the well deviation parameters on the formation where the drill bit is located is able to be measured in real time more accurately and then will make real-time wireless transmission toward the wireless receiving system. Compared with conventional measurement while drilling work, the measurement location of the near-bit measurement while drilling system is nearer to the drill bit with non-hysteretic description of well trajectory and formation gamma measurement so as to enhance the drilling-encounter ratio significantly.
