    摘要: A driving-side transmission portion of an output shaft of an electric motor and a driven-side transmission portion of a worm shaft are coupled to each other via a torque transmission joint including an elastic member and a coupling such that the torque can be transmitted. One axial end portion of a coupling-side concave-convex portion of the coupling is engaged with a first driving-side concave-convex portion of the driving-side transmission portion with a gap in the circumferential direction, and the other axial end portion thereof is engaged with a first driven-side concave-convex portion of the driven-side transmission portion with a gap in the circumferential direction. The elastic member is provided between an axial center portion of the coupling-side concave-convex portion, and a second driving-side concave-convex portion of the driving-side transmission portion and a second driven-side concave-convex portion of the driven-side transmission portion such that the torque can be transmitted respectively.

    摘要: A claw coupling includes two coupling elements having claws which engage alternately into one another and have confronting concave claw surfaces configured to follow a first circular track. Disposed between the coupling elements is a pressure body arrangement having pressure bodies respectively received between the claws of one coupling element and the claws of the other coupling element. The pressure bodies have convex pressure body surfaces which engage during a torque transmission with the claw surfaces of the claws. Each pressure body surface is configured to follow a second circular track, with the radius of the first circular track and the radius of the second circular track touching one another at a radially innermost point of the claw surface which is disposed on a common straight line having a center point of the first circular track and a center point of the second circular track.

The first hub can be coupled to the input shaft and include a first plurality of coupling pins extending therefrom. The second hub can be coupled to the input shaft and include a second plurality of coupling pins extending therefrom. The elastomeric coupling can include a coupling body having a series of openings. The first and second coupling pins can be alternately received by the respective openings. The elastomeric coupling can be configured to absorb torsional variations from the input shaft.

    摘要: A rack drive assembly adapted for use in the vehicle electric power steering assembly includes a steering member operatively connected to a vehicle steering wheel; an electric motor for effecting axial movement of the steering member upon rotation of the vehicle steering wheel; a planetary gear assembly operatively coupled to the electric motor; and a pinion assembly operatively disposed between the planetary gear assembly and the steering member whereby operation of the electric motor is operative to effect axial movement of the steering member, wherein the electric motor includes an output shaft which defines a motor axis and the pinion assembly includes an output shaft which defines a pinion axis, wherein the pinion axis is coaxial with the motor axis and perpendicular with respect to an axis of the steering member.
