    摘要： An improved device for a medical treatment station which may include inducing and collecting sputum without contaminating the environment. A patient is positioned to inhale an aerosol from a discharge hose connected to a nebulizer. Sputum, excess aerosol and room air are drawn through an ultra-high-efficiency filter system to remove preferably at least 99.97 percent of 0.3 micron and larger particles from the air. The purified air is returned to the room, except for a controlled portion which is diverted to the nebulizer for delivering a controlled density aerosol. The filter system preferably includes a gross particle filter and a pre-filter in addition to the ultra-high-efficiency filter. The aerosol discharge hose is positioned in a cowl which directs room air, exhaled air, sputum and excess aerosol to the filter. The highly contaminated aerosol discharge hose, cowl, gross particle filter and pre-filter, and in severe contamination cases the housing and the ultra-high-efficiency filter, are all disposable.

    摘要： An improved resistance element for suppressing random radio frequency radiation from the high voltage ignition circuit of an internal combustion engine. The resistance element is produced by sintering an extruded or compressed rod consisting essentially of copper oxides plus a heat destructible binder and from 0 to 10 percent of an inert plasticizer. The resulting element consists essentially of a combination of cupric oxide (CuO) and cuprous oxide (Cu2). Optional contact terminals may be formed on the element by applying a metallic coating to opposed ends of the capsule. The suppression element may be placed in the center electrode assembly of a spark plug electrically in series between a high voltage terminal and an electrode tip or at any suitable location in the high voltage ignition circuit for the internal combustion engine.

    摘要： Apparatus for measuring and atomizing a predetermined quantity of liquid. Compressed atomizing gas is supplied through a passage to an atomizing nozzle. A finger actuated plunger moves a piston pump for measuring and delivering the predetermined quantity of liquid from a reservoir to the nozzle. The displacement of the piston is varied to change the predetermined quantity of liquid delivered to the nozzle. An optional gas pressure relief passage may extend from the gas passage through the plunger for reducing gas flow to the nozzle when the apparatus is not in use. When a finger is placed on the plunger to operate the pump, gas flow to the nozzle is reestablished.

Preferably the colored inserts are of the same refractory material as the bricks themselves and have a coloring material added thereto. This minimizes contamination of the material being ball milled.
