摘要: New missile systems are provided, implementing reduced pre-deployment weight, higher impact and greater deployment flexibility, among other advantages. In some embodiments, mid-flight oxygen filtration from atmospheric air, followed by concentration, compression and/or storage in ideal oxidizer deployment locations, leads to enriched, greatly increased oxidizer load and/or far greater missile weight just prior to impact. Among additional benefits, missiles implementing the system may be far less volatile, and therefore safer, prior to deployment and the concentration of oxidizer may be more concentrated than with ambient oxygen, overcoming the limitations of current fuel/air and other thermobaric explosives.

摘要: New data storage devices and techniques are provided. In some aspects of the invention, a new remote supplementation based media and system are provided. A local file and control system comprises a data density distribution that varies depending on Media Depth. A remote supplementation source and control system are also provided in a common network with the local control system. The local control system reports local file attributes, authorization and factors impacting media depth in real time, and the supplementation control system delivers permanent and streaming data corrections, supplementation and format updates to the local control system. In additional aspects of the invention, a patterned reference media device aids in building the local data density distribution. In some embodiments, the 3D arrangement, or other attributes, of structural storage device elements may serve as the patterned reference device.

摘要: New electrochemical battery recharging, refurbishment and replacement techniques are provided. In some aspects of the invention, small, fungible battery elements may be immersed in a fluid and delivered via a bifurcated pump interface that simultaneously unloads discharged cells and loads new, charged cells, to accomplish rapid cell replacement and recharging. The cells may be magnetically aligned to bring cathode and anode elements together, in series, and bridge contacts within a container (powering an appliance). Density differentials between charged and discharged elements may aid in placing them in series (with similar charge states and capacities) and in removing them during replacement.In other aspects, electrode elements may be rapidly flushed to accomplish rapid recharging, in a staged process. Aspects of the invention also provide for rapid exchange of larger, streamlined battery elements, without the use of an immersive fluid, and systematic control of recharging balances accomplished by such exchanges.

In some aspects of the invention, multiple master tags and signal control elements manage the communication of unique signals indicating and managing inventory status and consumption activity. In other aspects, drugs and other agents may be variably released and/or applied by a new form of actuable, consumable tag with multiple signal elements.A computer display with specialized software may comprise part of the control system, and may reflect, provide, and/or receive modified data signals to and from such tags and signal elements.In other aspects of the invention, an administrative user may use a GUI to access information concerning, and control, consumption by a consumer user.

摘要: New bodily cooling techniques are provided. In some aspects of the present invention, a new rapidly-evaporating cooling gel or fluid is sprayed or doused over or about an athlete's body and/or worn garments in thermal-reduction-optimized gravitational, diffusion and movement-induced patterns, to maximize cooling during exercise. In some aspects, a worn garment may serve as the matrix or platform for this distribution of the fluid. In other aspects, tuned, heat-absorbing port-controlling devices cause the release of the cooling gel or fluid from distribution tubes or other channels (e.g., integral to the flexible fabric itself) upon local underlying body heat exceeding a threshold, and resealing (halting release) upon body or regional heat dropping below a threshold.In still other aspects, heat-expanding sub-elements rise away from a body heat source toward a wider region for heat release, while other cooled sub-elements descend and exchange places with them, to absorb more body heat.

摘要: New weight-actuated clips and other fastening and tightening techniques are disclosed. In one aspect of the invention, plate-style weights include a self-contained clipping system that, preferably, is reversibly weight-actuated, and therefore requires no additional clipping step to use—a user need only load a weight-actuated, self-clipping weight. In other aspects of the invention, a lateral tightening mechanism in the direction of loading is also provided, eliminating lateral play. In still other aspects, a user may rapidly and selectively shed weight from a weight-loading member. The weight-actuated tightening aspects are also applied in the context of sporting garments, such as running shoes, allowing a user to put on well-fitted shoes quickly, with easy entry, and no need for separate lacing or binding steps.

In some aspects of the invention, a variably, directionally shadable semi-transparent matrix and actuating system is provided, which limits problematic glare for an observation point. In other aspects of the invention, a matrix creates directional light from a plurality of shiftable and angle-directable sources, which may aid in creating virtual, 3-D objects of greater realism than conventional 3-D imaging methods and aid in reducing the appearance of distracting interceding objects (e.g., finger blocking a touch screen). In still other aspects of the invention, electromagnetically actuated optical control techniques, including rotational lenses and sensors, are provided.

摘要: New systems and methods for offering an upgraded version of media content to user(s) are provided. In some aspects of the invention, a system implementing aspects of the invention scans or otherwise determines a version and/or condition of media content stored on a device owned by the user(s). The control system also determines whether the media content can be supplemented and improved based on other, more complete, more recent, higher resolution, or otherwise superior version(s) of the media content, for a customized fee. If so, the system builds and offers an upgraded experience to the user(s) based on the superior version(s), for a customized monetary fee. If the user(s) request and/or pay for the upgraded experience, the control system then facilitates providing the upgraded experience of the media content to the user(s).
