The method also includes forming an ionically conductive separator and forming a cathode region including a current collector and a porous intercalation material. The method also includes adding a first lithium reaction product and a first catholyte to the cathode region and applying a charging current between the cathode and anode. The method also includes removing a reduction by-product from the battery cell. An embodiment also includes a battery formed by the method.

摘要: A manufacturing method for a non-aqueous secondary battery includes the following steps. (a) Preparing an electrode body including a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material layer and a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material layer. (b) Constructing a battery assembly using the electrode body and a non-aqueous electrolyte. (c) Initially charging the battery assembly. (d) Aging the battery assembly at a temperature of 60° C. or higher. (e) Forcibly starting to discharge the battery assembly in said temperature region after lowering the temperature of the battery assembly down to a temperature region of 35° C. or higher and 55° C. or lower. (f) Adjusting the SOC of the battery assembly. (g) Measuring a voltage drop amount by self-discharging the battery assembly. And (h) determining whether or not the battery assembly is qualified based on the voltage drop amount.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to allow a gas to be stably discharged from a cracking valve even if a battery lid is deformed toward a wound group side. In a rectangular secondary battery of the present invention, a curved surface portion of a flat wound group is disposed on the side of an opening of a battery can, and the opening is sealed with a battery lid having a cracking valve and a liquid injection port. At least a protruding portion having a facing surface positioned on a curved surface portion side with respect to the cracking valve is disposed on the battery lid between the liquid injection port and the cracking valve.

The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive electrode active material layer on a surface of a positive electrode current collector, a negative electrode active material layer comprising an aqueous binder on a surface of a negative electrode current collector, a separator for maintaining an electrolytic solution, and a gas releasing means for releasing a gas generated within the power generating element to an extra space inside of the outer casing, and in which the ratio value of a volume of the extra space to a volume of pores included in the power generating element is 0.5 to 1.0.
