Abstract: A heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) unit includes an energy recovery wheel, a first exhaust fan configured to draw a first air flow across the energy recovery wheel and discharge the first air flow from the HVAC unit, a second exhaust fan configured to draw a second air flow across the energy recovery wheel and discharge the second air flow from the HVAC unit, and a controller configured to operate the first exhaust fan and the second exhaust fan in an economizer mode and configured to operate the first exhaust fan and suspend operation of the second exhaust fan in an energy recovery mode.

Abstract: A flash gas bypass system includes a separation assembly having an inlet configured to receive a refrigerant flow from an expansion valve. A bypass conduit is coupled to a first port of the separation assembly and configured to receive a first portion of the refrigerant flow via the first port, where the first portion of the refrigerant flow includes flash gas. A second port of the separation assembly is coupled to an outlet conduit in fluid communication with an evaporator. The outlet conduit is configured to receive the second portion of the refrigerant flow via the second port and direct the second portion of the refrigerant flow toward the evaporator, where the second portion of the refrigerant flow includes liquid refrigerant. A filter is configured to redirect droplets captured by the filter from the first portion of the refrigerant flow into the second portion of the refrigerant flow.

Abstract: Systems and methods for smart multi-zone control are provided. The system can include a plurality of sensors, a plurality of dampers, and a controller. The plurality of sensors can be configured to sense temperatures of a plurality of zones. The plurality of dampers can be configured to control the temperatures of the plurality of zones. The controller can be configured to obtain a first array associated with the plurality of sensors. Each element in the first array can represent a difference between a measurement value of a respective sensor and a setpoint associated with the respective sensor. The controller can be configured to obtain a second array associated with the plurality of dampers. Each element in the second array can represent a damper position of a respective damper. The controller can be configured to determine values of entries of a matrix using the first array and the second array.

The end cap includes a rib extending from the vertex and into a slot formed at the corner between the first face and the second face.

Abstract: A building management system includes a system manager and a cloud-based data platform. The system manager is configured to identify building equipment and generate a reported network tree listing the building equipment. The cloud-based data platform is configured to receive the reported network tree from the system manager, generate a list of bound properties of the building equipment based on the reported network tree, and create timeseries for the bound properties of the building equipment. The system manager is configured to detect a change of value (COV) of a bound property listed in the list of bound properties and post a sample of the bound property to the timeseries in response to detecting the COV of the bound property.

Abstract: A model predictive maintenance system for building equipment that performs operations including obtaining an objective function defining a cost of operating and performing maintenance on the equipment as a function of operating and maintenance decisions for time steps within a time period of a life cycle horizon and including performing a first computation of the objective function under a first scenario where maintenance is performed on the equipment during the period, a result of the first computation indicating a first cost. The operations include performing a second computation under a second scenario in which maintenance is not performed during the period, a result indicating a second cost. The operations include initiating an automated action to perform maintenance on the equipment in accordance with decisions defined by the first scenario if the first cost is less than or equal to the second cost.

Abstract: A mobile commissioning device for commissioning building equipment in or around a building includes a processing circuit. The processing circuit includes a processor and memory storing instructions executed by the processor. The processing circuit establishes location of the mobile commissioning device and building equipment within the building. The processing circuit also detects and receives commissioning data from building equipment located within a building zones of the building as the mobile commissioning device moves between the building zones. The processing circuit further stores the commissioning data from the building equipment in a temporary commissioning database within the mobile commissioning device and transmits the commissioning data from the temporary commissioning database to a permanent server.
