Abstract:
A router includes a plurality of wireless network carrier cards, each of the network carrier cards adapted for use with one of a like plurality of different carrier networks, means for determining which of the plurality of network carrier cards provides a suitable connection to a carrier network and means for selecting one or more suitable connections to one or more carrier networks and for connecting the EVDO router to the carrier network through a particular one of the plurality of network carrier cards and a load balancing processor for load balancing between a plurality of different backbone networks and wherein the load balancing processor directs traffic among multiple networks to provide a desired throughput. In one embodiment, the router is provided as an evolution-data optimized (EVDO) wireless router.
Abstract:
A genetic locus and corresponding family of proteins associated with regulation of immune function and cell survival are provided. These genes encode cell surface molecules with conserved IgV and mucin domains. The locus comprising the TIM family is genetically associated with immune dysfunction, including asthma. Furthermore, the TIM gene family is located within a region of human chromosome 5 that is commonly deleted in malignancies and myelodysplastic syndrome. Polymorphisms in the gene sequences are associated with the development of airway hyperreactivity and allergic inflammation, and T cell production of IL-4 and IL-13. The proteins include the human hepatitis A cellular receptor, hHAVcr-1.
Abstract:
In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms for facilitating real-time streaming, filtering and routing of data according to one embodiment. In one embodiment and by way of example, a method includes receiving, at a computing device, one or more data streams from one or more data sources, transforming, in real-time, the one or more data streams into one or more normalized data streams. The transforming includes performing ingestion of the one or more data streams. The method may further include filtering, in real-time, the one or more normalized data streams, and routing the one or more filtered data streams as real-time output to one or more data systems.
Abstract:
A compact five-speed transmission planetary gear train includes a first, second, third, and fourth planetary gear sets between an input and an output as well as first, second, and third brakes and first, second and third clutches. The first, second and third brakes and first, second and third clutches are selectively actuatable to provide five different forward speeds and a four different reverse speeds between the input and the output.

Abstract:
A data storage system includes a network interface configurable to couple to a network for receiving data related to an acoustic environment from a device and a memory for storing a plurality of environmental filters. The data storage system further includes a processor coupled to the memory and the network interface, the processor configurable to analyze the data and selectively provide one or more of the plurality of environmental filters to the device based on the analysis of the data.
Abstract:
An actuator assembly includes a first motor having a first transmission mechanism, a second motor having a second transmission mechanism, and a drive shaft operatively coupled to the first transmission mechanism of the first motor and the second transmission mechanism of the second motor. The actuator assembly includes a torque application system disposed in operative communication with the first motor and the second motor, the torque application system configured to direct an application of a translation torque and a preload torque between the first motor and the first transmission mechanism and between the second motor and the second transmission mechanism.
