Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a novel use of a sesquiterpene derivative, more particularly to a composition for preventing, improving or treating macular degeneration or macular edema caused by vascular leakage in the eye, the composition containing a sesquiterpene derivative compound represented by Chemical Formula 1 of the present disclosure or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. Whereas the intraocular disease-related treating agents available in the market should be injected directly into the vitreous cavity, thus causing pain and side effects, the sesquiterpene derivative compound of the present disclosure is delivered to the target tissue (eye) via different administration routes (oral, intraperitoneal, etc.) other than the intravitreal route. Accordingly, the sesquiterpene derivative compound provides excellent therapeutic effect without being restricted by the administration routes.

Abstract: An optical wireless transmission device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a modulation unit for receiving input of a first input signal and outputting a first output signal; and a light source control unit for controlling a first light source in accordance with the first output signal. The first output signal repeats “0” and “1” in a first phase during clock time if a binary value of the first input signal is 0, and repeats “0” and “1” in a phase opposite from the first phase during the clock time if a binary value of the first input signal is 1.

Abstract: An austenitic steel matrix-nanoparticle composite and a producing method thereof are provided. The composite includes: an austenitic steel matrix that includes an alloying element; and a nanoparticle that grows in situ in the matrix and that is formed in the matrix. The nanoparticle grows from the alloying element included in the austenitic steel matrix. The method includes: preparing an austenitic steel matrix including an alloying element; and heating the austenitic steel matrix. In the method, the nanoparticle grows in situ in the matrix from the alloying element which is solid-dissolved in the austenitic steel matrix by the heating.
