Abstract:
A melting safety device for discharging gas from the gas system of a hydropneumatic pressure reservoir or accumulator has a blocking element of a material which melts when exposed to an undue temperature increase. A normally closed valve can be opened by a control member which is prebiased for controlled movement by the force of a power drive. The blocking element is a mechanical blocking member which blocks the controlled movement of the control member prior to its melting, but permits the controlled movement of the control member upon melting.
Abstract:
This invention involves the field of tactile control of electronic devices using a sensor that transduces both air pressure and device positional orientation into a set of digitally encoded commands. The invention involves using as input the physical action taken on a musical instrument and generating control information using that input.
Abstract:
A mounting frame for a switchgear cabinet or a rack includes mounting pieces which are arranged, as corner pieces, in the four corner sections of a rectangle or square that extends in an x-y plane, the mounting pieces being produced in a respective shaping process and having outer first and second mounting faces which extend in the x direction and in the y direction at a right angle thereto and which extend in a space direction z at a right angle to the x-y plane, and are provided with hollow spaces which are at least partially surrounded by wall parts and/or bores that are oriented in the z direction. The mounting frame further includes intermediate elements which extend between the mounting pieces in the x direction and in the y direction and the end sections of which are fastened to the mounting pieces. The mounting pieces have wall sections which extend in parallel to the x-y plane, thus making assembly easier.
Abstract:
The invention relates to thermoplastic moulding compositions comprising A) between 55 to 98% in weight of at least one vinyl aromatic copolymer modified with a particulate graft rubber, B) between 1 to 44% in weight of a flame retardant comprising B1) an expandable graphite, B2) a flame-retardant compound comprising phosphorus, and B3) a fluorine-containing polymer, C) between 1 to 20% in weight of a non-particulate-forming rubber comprising polar groups, and D) between 0 to 40% in weight of additional additives, where the weight percentages are respectively based on the total weight of components A) to D), and said percentages add up to a total of 100% in weight, and the polybutadiene content is between 0 to 11I % in weight.
Abstract:
A monitoring device and method are provided for monitoring a vacuum toilet, as well as a personal transport vehicle, in particular an aircraft, which uses a monitoring device for vacuum toilets. The monitoring device has a position detector for detecting the position of a toilet lid, a mechanical latching device and a flushing control unit. The latching device is designed to latch the toilet lid in an open position based on the weight of a person acting on a toilet seat. The flushing control unit is further designed to control the flushing operation based on the toilet lid position, and to block the flushing operation upon detection of the toilet lid in the open position. This makes it possible to improve both the comfort and hygienic conditions for the toilet user while using the vacuum toilet.
Abstract:
Illumination device comprising at least one LED and at least one colour converter comprising at least one organic fluorescent colorant in a matrix consisting essentially of polystyrene or polycarbonate, wherein LED and colour converter are present in a remote phosphor arrangement.
Abstract:
This invention relates to the production of synthesis gas by partial oxidation of liquid or gaseous, carbonaceous fuel in the presence of an oxygen-containing oxidant, wherein the fuel, the oxidant and a moderator are separately supplied to a burner and wherein the fuel and the moderator are mixed in a mixing chamber of the burner, before they are brought in contact with the oxidant. To reduce the load of the burner in particular during operation with transient conditions, the oxidant is centrally introduced through an outlet opening of the burner into a combustion chamber and the mixture of fuel and moderator is introduced through the outlet opening into the combustion chamber concentrically around the oxidant.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hydrostatic piston engine (11) and a drive (1) for recovering brake energy. The drive comprises a driving shaft (4) and a first accumulator (12) for accumulating pressure energy. The first accumulator (12) is connected to a hydrostatic piston engine (11). Said hydrostatic piston engine (11) has a coupling (9) and can be connected to the driving shaft (4) by means of the coupling (9). The hydrostatic piston engine (11) comprises a housing in which a cylinder drum and the driving shaft (4) are rotatably received. The cylinder drum can be connected to the driving shaft (4) by means of the coupling (9) in a rotationally fixed manner.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an instrument aligning method in which a medical instrument to be aligned is aligned to a target point, wherein the spatial position of the instrument to be aligned is determined and tracked by means of a medical tracking system, wherein the target point is indicated by a freely movable pointing instrument, which is likewise determined and tracked by means of the medical tracking system, and the instrument to be aligned is then aligned to the target point with the aid of a medical navigation which is associated with the tracking system.
Abstract:
The device for production of a monocrystalline or a multicrystalline material blank, especially a silicon multicrystalline blank, using the VGF method has a crucible with a rectangular or square cross section. A flat heating device, especially a jacket heater, which generates an inhomogeneous temperature profile, is arranged around the crucible. This temperature profile corresponds to the temperature gradient formed in the center of the crucible. The heat output of the flat heating device decreases from the top to the bottom end of the crucible. The flat heating device includes parallel heating webs, which extend in a meandering course. The heat outputs from the heating webs differ according to their different conductor cross sections. To avoid local overheating in corner areas of the crucible, constrictions of the cross sections of the heating webs are provided at inversion zones of their meandering course.
