Abstract:
A combined tube set for a disposable water bottle for a medical instrument includes a cap with threads suitable for attachment to various water bottles. The combined tube set provides a first tube set for rinsing that includes an air and water tubes, and air/water connector The combined tube set also provides a second tube set for irrigation that includes an irrigation connector, backflow valve(s), and flexible tubing section. In some embodiments, the tube set can provide warm and/or humid gas to the endoscope.
Abstract:
The invention provides for a low pH disinfectant composition that includes a relatively low amount of alcohol. Also provided is an article of manufacture that includes a textile and the composition, as well as methods of using the composition and article of manufacture (e.g., for reducing the number of microbes located upon a substrate, for killing or inhibiting a broad spectrum of microorganisms, for killing or inhibiting spore forming bacteria, and/or for disinfecting a substrate). The composition can optionally include a stable residual antimicrobial compound, thereby providing a combination of high-level disinfection and long-lasting residual effect.
Abstract:
A method for decontaminating a medical device includes enclosing the medical device in an enclosure including a fog-permeable layer and an exterior port member coupled to the fog-permeable layer. The exterior port member of the enclosure is coupled to a chemical dispersing interface in a decontamination chamber. A pressure in the decontamination chamber is reduced to a sub-atmospheric pressure in a first evacuation step. A room temperature decontaminating fluid is introduced as a fog into the decontamination chamber. The fog is held in the decontamination chamber for a decontaminating time. The pressure in the decontamination chamber is reduced to a sub-atmospheric pressure in a second evacuation step. The decontamination chamber is vented to atmospheric pressure.

Abstract:
A composition that includes: (a) hydrogen peroxide; (b) at least one of an inorganic acid and an organic acid; (c) chelator; (d) anticorrosive agent; and (e) surfactant. Kits that include the composition, as well as methods of using the composition (e.g., as a disinfectant) are provided.

Abstract:
A multistage connector assembly for a lumen decontamination system is provided. The assembly includes a main body, a multistage body, a multistage barrier, a connector, and one or more biasing members. The assembly includes a multistage barrier movable in the fluid passageway between a fully closed position in which each stage of the multistage barrier is in a closed position to each independently block flow in the fluid passageway and a fully open position in which each stage is in an open position to allow flow within the fluid passageway. The connector is configured to engage the multistage barrier when coupled to the main body to sequentially open each stage of the multistage barrier to enable flow through the fluid passageway. The biasing member(s) are configured to urge each stage of the multistage barrier towards a closed position that blocks flow in the fluid passageway.
Abstract:
The invention describes foamable compositions that do not require a propellant for delivery that are useful to treat and moisten soiled medical instruments until final cleaning can be undertaken.
Abstract:
A cart for storage of an endoscope is provided. The cart comprises a housing having a slot configured to slidably receive a tray. The tray is configured to store an endoscope, and a timer is coupled to the housing, slot and/or tray. The timer is configured to display increments of time that the endoscope is stored in the tray. Systems and methods are also provided.
Abstract:
The invention relates generally to a two part liquid composition that includes components (A) and (B), when mixed yield an aqueous disinfecting composition. Component (A) includes hydrogen peroxide, acetic acid and/or peracetic acid and a stabilizer. Component (B) includes a buffer, an anticorrosive agent, a solubilizer and a cleaner. Combining component (A) and component (B) provides a liquid sterilant.
