    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a network interface device, including an active downstream radio-frequency (RF) signal path connecting an entry port and an active port. The network interface device also includes a passive downstream RF signal path connecting the entry port and a passive port. The network interface device further includes an active upstream RF signal path connecting the entry port and the active port. Additionally, network interface device includes a passive upstream RF signal path connecting the entry port and the passive port. Moreover, the network interface device includes a downstream directional coupler having an input port, a through port, and a coupled port. The passive downstream RF signal path comprises the input port of the downstream directional coupler and the coupled port of the downstream directional coupler.

    Abstract: An outer sleeve for a CATV filter has, in one embodiment, a first end and a second end. The second end has a face with one or more engagement holes. A torque transmitter for installing a cable television (CATV) filter on an interface port includes a CATV filter header configured to support a CATV filter component. The torque transmitter also includes a torque transmitting housing configured to at least partially house the CATV filter header. The torque transmitting housing is configured to fit a CATV filter installation tool, receive a torque force from the CATV filter installation tool when the torque transmitting housing is fit to the CATV filter installation tool, and transmit the torque force received from the CATV filter installation tool to the CATV filter header so as to allow the CATV filter installation tool to install the torque transmitting housing and the CATV filter on the interface port.

    Abstract: An entry adapter for controlling upstream and downstream communications between a cable television (CATV) network and a client multimedia over coaxial alliance (MoCA) network including port means for allowing downstream and upstream CATV signals to be distributed between a CATV network and a plurality of MoCA client devices of a client MoCA network, two-way, high/low frequency band isolation and limited distribution means for allowing CATV network signals to communicate with the client devices, blocking client network signals from being communicated to the CATV network, splitting a network signal into reduced signal-strength network signal copies communicated to the port means, and isolating network signals into a high and low frequency band ranges so as to allow low frequency band CATV network signals to communicate with the MoCA client devices while blocking high frequency band client MoCA network signals from being communicated to the CATV network.

    Abstract: A connector for coupling a fiber optic cable with a connection point includes a connector body at a first end of the connector and extending in a longitudinal direction and a connector housing at a second end of the connector. The connector body defines a first longitudinal conduit configured to receive a duct, and the duct is configured to slidingly receive the fiber optic cable. A compression fitting is configured to be received about a first end of the connector body and to slide relative to the connector body in the longitudinal direction to radially compress the first end of the connector body to grip the duct. The connector housing includes a second longitudinal conduit substantially aligned with the first longitudinal conduit in the longitudinal direction and a connection portion configured to couple the fiber optic cable to the connection point. The first longitudinal conduit and the second longitudinal conduit are configured to slidingly receive the fiber optic cable.

    Abstract: A network interface device includes an input-output port; an entry port; an upstream signal path configured to carry an upstream signal from the input-output port to the entry port; a noise suppressor, in the upstream signal path, that includes noise suppression paths between the input-output and entry ports; and a controller configured to: determine a first power level of the upstream signal in a first frequency band; determine a second power level of the upstream signal in a second frequency band; generate a control signal based on a first comparison of the first and second power levels, on a second comparison of the second power level with a threshold limit, or on the first comparison of the first and second power levels and on the second comparison of the second power level with the threshold limit; and select one of the noise suppression paths based on the control signal.
