Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for obtaining an interaction property between a molecule or biomolecule or particle or bioparticle or nano- or microparticle on the one hand and a target particle on the other hand. The method comprises obtaining potentiometric titration results for a potentiometric measurement during titration of a solution with a titrant, said solution being a solution of one of a ligand of the target particle or said molecule or biomolecule or particle or bioparticle or nano- or microparticle. Said titrant comprises the other of said target particle ligand or said molecule or biomolecule or particle or bioparticle or nano- or microparticle. The method also comprises deriving based on said potentiometric titration results an interaction property between said molecule or biomolecule or particle or bioparticle or nano- or microparticle and said target particle.

Preferably, the structure is made by a colloidal ceramic shaping technique. The structure is used for catalytic or ion exchange applications. The catalytic structures have excellent mechanical, physicochemical and catalytic properties.

Abstract: A process for the production of a catalyst comprising the steps of: dissolving the requisite quantities of copper nitrate and nickel nitrate in de-ionised water to provide a sub-0.30 molar aqueous solution of copper nitrate and nickel nitrate together in the ratio required; providing an ammoniacal solution by adding concentrated aqueous solution of ammonia in a quantity equal to between six and ten times the quantity required to realise both a 1:6 molar ratio for Cu2+ to ammonia and a 1:6 molar ratio for Ni2+ to ammonia; loading gamma alumina with 1 to 30% w/w of copper and nickel in a weight ratio of nickel to copper of 1:5 to 2:1 by suspending the requisite quantity of gamma alumina in said ammoniacal solution to achieve the required loading of copper and nickel; stirring the resulting gamma alumina suspension for at least 4 h at room temperature; then the volatile components evaporate under ambient conditions leaving dry loaded gamma alumina, which is calcined at a temperature of at least 260° C. for at least 30 min with a constant heating up rate; a catalyst or catalyst mixture, the catalyst or each catalyst in the catalyst mixture being obtainable by the above-mentioned process; and the use of the catalyst or catalyst mixture for the conversion of exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine into carbon dioxide, water and nitrogen.

Abstract: A computer implemented method predicts by a neural network a radio spectrum usage in an environment comprising interferers and a plurality of wireless nodes. The nodes operate via a slotted medium access control, MAC, protocol within a radio spectrum. The method includes the following steps: obtaining per slot the radio spectrum usage by sensing the radio spectrum, labelling the slots as usable when a respective radio spectrum usage is lower than a predefined noise threshold or when a node successfully transmitted a packet through it, unusable when it is not usable and suitable to receive a packet, and calculating a loss function as a cross entropy loss with the usable and unusable slots over a total number of usable and unusable slots, and training the neural network by minimizing the loss function.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for producing lanthanide doped layered double hydroxides (Ln-doped LDHs). The method includes the steps of preparing a carbonate free alkaline solution; preparing a solution of metal salts comprising a salt of a lanthanide; co-precipitating the alkaline solution and the solution of metal salts to form a mixture and Ln-doped LDH precipitate wherein the pH of the mixture is maintained at a constant value; aging the precipitate; and separating the precipitate from the solution. The alkaline solution is an aqueous ammonia solution. The present disclosure is also related to lanthanide-doped layered double hydroxides (La-doped LDHs) obtainable by such a method, as well as to the use of the lanthanide-doped layered double hydroxides obtainable by such a method.
