    摘要: A C10 hydrocarbon composition of greater than 55 wt. % C10 mono-olefins containing from 11 to 45 wt. % 1-decene, at least 0.5 wt. % 2-butyl-1-hexene, at least 1 wt. % 3-propyl-1-heptene, from 0.5 to 12 wt. % 4-ethyl-1-octene, at least 4 wt. % 4-penten-1-yl-cyclopentane, and from 2 to 40 wt. % 5-methyl-1-nonene. A C12 hydrocarbon composition of greater than 60 wt. % C12 mono-olefins containing at least 8 wt. % 1-dodecene and at least 0.5 wt. % 6-hepten-1-yl-cyclopentane, and the composition also containing heptylcyclopentane and n-dodecane at a weight ratio of heptylcyclopentane to n-dodecane from 0:3:1 to 8:1. A C14 hydrocarbon composition of greater than 60 wt. % C14 mono-olefins containing at least 12 wt. % 1-tetradecene and at least 0.5 wt. % 8-nonen-1-yl-cyclopentane, and the composition also containing from 3 to 30 wt. % of n-tetradecane and nonylcyclopentane.

    摘要: A method of making fuel including adding alcohol to a reactor with a zinc dihalide salt and heating the reactor to reflux, thereby forming a mixture. Water is removed from the mixture using azeotropic distillation. The mixture is distilled, thereby forming oligo(alkenes)n and residual alcohol. The oligo(alkenes)n are distilled using fractionation, thereby forming a first, a second, a third fraction, and removing the residual alcohol. The first fraction includes oligo(alkenes)n with n ranging from 2 to 4, the second fraction includes oligo(alkenes)n with n ranging from 4 to 8, and the third fraction includes oligo(alkenes)n with n ranging from 8 to 12. The first, second, and third fractions are hydrogenated, thereby forming oligo(alkanes)n. The first fraction includes oligo(alkanes)n with n ranging from 2 to 4, the second fraction includes oligo(alkanes)n with n ranging from 4 to 8, and the third fraction includes oligo(alkanes)n with n ranging from 8 to 12.

    摘要: The present disclosure provides assemblies for producing linear alpha olefins and methods for producing linear alpha olefins. In at least one embodiment, a method for producing a linear alpha olefin includes providing an olefin, a catalyst, and a process solvent to a first tubular reactor; obtaining an effluent from the first tubular reactor; and transferring the effluent to a second tubular reactor. In at least one embodiment, an assembly for producing linear alpha olefins includes a first tubular reactor having a first end and a second end; an effluent line having a first end and a second end, the first end coupled with the second end of the first tubular reactor; and a second tubular reactor having a first end and a second end, the first end coupled with the second end of the effluent line.
