Abstract:
Disclosed are compositions comprising variants of alpha-amylase that have alpha-amylase activity and which exhibit altered properties relative to a parent AmyS-like alpha-amylase from which they are derived. The compositions comprise an additional enzyme such as a phytase. Also disclosed are methods of using the compositions, and kits related thereto.
Abstract:
To enable a mobile station, when a base station carries out a measurement of a radio signal coming from an adjacent cell while suspending at least one of radio transmission to and radio reception from the mobile station when a base station's own cell is in operation, to recognize that the adjacent cell is being measured. A home base station 1 carries out a measurement of a radio signal coming from an adjacent cell while suspending at least one of radio transmission to and radio reception from a mobile station 3-1 when a base station's own cell (home cell) is in operation. Further, the home base station 1 notifies, prior to beginning the measurement, advance notice information indicating an execution of the measurement to the mobile station 3-1.
Abstract:
An amplifier arrangement comprises a signal input (Iin+, Iin−) to receive a signal to be amplified, a signal output (Out) to provide an amplified signal, an amplifier stage (AS) coupled between the signal input (Iin+, Iin−) and the signal output (Out), a switchable dynamic biasing stage (DB) with an input coupled to the signal input (Iin+, Iin−), a switchable gain boosting stage (GB) with an input coupled to the signal input (Iin+, Iin−), and a switching device (SD) coupled to the amplifier stage (AS) such that either an output of the switchable dynamic biasing stage (DB) or an output of the switchable gain boosting stage (GB) are coupled to the amplifier stage (AS). In one embodiment, by enabling the switchable dynamic biasing stage (DB) in an initial large-signal phase of amplification and the switchable gain boosting stage (GB) in a latter small-signal phase of amplification by means of the switching device (SD), high gain and low current consumption are simultaneously realised. Furthermore, a method for signal amplification is disclosed.
Abstract:
A switched-capacitor amplifier arrangement and a method to amplify a signal are presented. A forward path has at least one switched capacitor (10) controlled by a clock signal, thus providing an amplification phase (1) of the forward path and an additional clock phase (2). A damping means (22) is connected to the forward path, the damping means being designed for attenuation of the signal peak at the beginning (2p) of the amplification phase. This avoids an undesired feed forward effect at the beginning of the amplification phase of an SC circuit.
Abstract:
Described are compositions and methods relating to starch processing without a phytase pretreatment step and without adjustment of the slurry pH adjustment.
Abstract:
A mobile communications system is proposed in which a two stage procedure is used for setting up Radio Bearers within a mobile communications device and UTRAN. In the first stage, both the mobile device and UTRAN perform ciphering based on an old Start value. In the second stage, the mobile device and UTRAN perform ciphering based on a new Start value. In this way, data communication using the Radio Bearers can start without waiting for the mobile device to confirm completion of the setup procedure.
Abstract:
In a radio access network, techniques for determining how often an aces terminal in communication with the network is to monitor a channel of the network based on trigger information received from the access terminal that is specific to one or more of the following: a state of the terminal, a state of a premium application, and a user of the terminal. The trigger information includes information about one or more of the following: a power mode of the access terminal, a user profile identification, an activation of a premium application on the terminal, and a terminal of a premium application on the terminal.
